  • Publication number: 20080077284
Abstract: A system for determining the position and/or velocity of an autonomous aircraft in a low-cost, low-weight manner independent of external technological dependencies such as satellites or beacons is claimed. The solution comprises a combination of traditional technologies (IMUs, altitude sensing, control systems, visual sensing technology, etc.) coupled with algorithms to implement their combined use. The solution is small enough for inclusion on small mass aircraft, yet its precision and capability make it useful for large aircraft as well. Utilizing the positional data, a series of control loops is claimed which allow an aircraft to autonomously take-off and land, station hold in a very precise manner, and fly in very close proximity to other objects with little chance of collision.

  • Publication number: 20060238204
Abstract: A fault detection system includes a fault indicator and power monitors coupled to the fault indicator. The fault indicator is configured to indicate a fault for a first one of the power monitors which detects a corresponding voltage is not between a corresponding maximum value and a corresponding minimum value.

  • Publication number: 20060242435
Abstract: A power management system includes a voltage source configured to provide at least a first voltage and a second voltage, and a controller configured to couple the first voltage to a first voltage supply terminal or couple the second voltage to a second voltage supply terminal in response to a comparison of one or more first variables associated with the first voltage supply terminal to one or more second variables associated with the second voltage supply terminal.

  • Publication number: 20050184590
Abstract: A power system provides for redundant input power sources. The power system includes a plurality of inputs that are connectable to a plurality of input sources and an OR circuit coupled to the source inputs. The OR circuit ORs the input sources to provide a source voltage. The power control circuit that is responsive to sufficient source voltage and other commands provides a working voltage to mid- and low-rail converters to provide supply voltages for use by a load.

  • Publication number: 20050044521
Abstract: A method for generating a printed circuit board design module is provided. The method includes compiling information that is usable to derive one of more low level details associated with a printed circuit board, determining one or more high level constraints that are usable with the information to generate the low level details, and generating the printed circuit board design module such that the printed circuit board design module includes the information and such that the printed circuit board design module is configured to receive the one or more high level constraints.
