    Abstract: A retractable workbench is provided that is mounted to a vertical surface such as a wall. The workbench is retractable between a horizontally oriented deployed position, and a vertically oriented retracted position. The workbench is vertically adjustable along wall mounts. Bench mounted tools may be mounted on rotatable panels, and the panels may be inverted when the workbench is retracted, thereby allowing the workbench to be fully rotated to the vertically oriented retracted position without removing the tools. Storage of tools and hardware may be achieved by a rotatable mounting surface that attaches to the workbench. Workbench legs that support the workbench when deployed are also retractable, and the legs may be adjusted for height and securely attached to the floor for additional stability.

    Abstract: Nutritious rehydratable dehydrated food products which contain from about 10% to 35% fat and from 15% to 60% protein, are prepared by (1) comminuting or emulsifying a mixture of edible animal matter derivable from mammals, poultry and/or fish, and vegetable matter (including starch); (2) applying a thin layer of the comminuted mixture to the heated surface of a drum dryer; and (3) cooking and dehydrating the mixture on said drum dryer surface. The food product so formed contains no more than about 11% moisture, is in flake or powder form, and is rehydratable to at least three times its dried weight.

    Abstract: A starch-containing material is gelatinized in a continuous process by contacting discrete granules of the material with steam under substantial turbulence utilizing a Venturi mixing effect. The water content of the initial turbulent mixture is sufficiently high so as to permit gelatinization at elevated temperature but insufficient to cause formation of an aqueous slurry of the starch-containing material.
