  • Patent number: 4597210
Abstract: A decorative item comprising a transparent sheet of plastic material having front and back sides with the material to be reproduced being positioned on the back side of the sheet. A coating of paint covers the back side of the sheet and the reproduced material. A protective backing sheet is positioned adjacent the painted back side of the sheet. The reproduced material is visible from the front side of the sheet with the paint creating a background for the reproduced material. The item is produced by first making a master copy of the material which will appear on the item. A transparency is then made of the master copy so that the material to be reproduced is positioned on the back side of the transparency. The back side of the transparency is then painted so that a colored background is created for the reproduced material. An optional protective backing sheet may then be placed on the painted back side of the transparency after the paint has dried.

  • Patent number: 4437676
Abstract: A mobile travel trunk is described including a water tight trunk or trailer compartment including a load adjustable suspension system. The forward end of the travel trunk includes a hitch assembly which is adapted to be secured to the bumper of a vehicle or the like. The rearward end of the trunk has a trapezoidal shaped opening which is defined by a U-shaped lip extending around three sides thereof. A spring loaded trapezoidal shaped door is pivotally mounted to the lower end of the rear wall of the trunk and includes a U-shaped lip which is adapted to be received by the U-shaped lip extending around the opening. When the door is in its closed position, a compression latch assembly causes the door to compress a resilient seal member extending around the door opening to provide a water tight and dust proof seal. The suspension system may be easily removed from the travel trunk to enable the travel trunk and the suspension system to be separately stored.

  • Patent number: 4436351
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting electronics equipment is described which is particularly well-suited for mounting a radio or the like on a tractor or the like. The apparatus comprises a substantially U-shaped bracket including a bottom mount portion having first and second spaced-apart side walls extending upwardly therefrom. A hollow case is selectively pivotally mounted on the side walls of the bracket and is received therebetween. The bottom portion of the case is open and is adapted to receive the electronics equipment therein. The case may be pivotally moved between open and closed positions relative to the bracket. When the case is in the closed position, the case extends over and around the electronics equipment. When the case is in its open position, the electronics equipment is exposed to enable the operator to operate the same.

  • Patent number: 4325318
Abstract: A folding disabled vehicle warning symbol or sign is described which is adapted to be mounted on the side of a vehicle such as a truck or the like. The sign comprises a vertically disposed housing which is mounted on the side of the truck and which has spaced-apart front and back walls, upper and lower ends, and an open outer end. A plurality of elongated flat sign segments are pivotally secured together and are pivotally secured to the housing in a manner so that the segments may be pivotally moved from a superposed stored position within the housing to an operative warning position outwardly of the housing. The pivotal sign segments define a triangular disabled vehicle warning symbol when in the warning position. The front and rear surfaces of the sign segments have light reflective material thereon.

  • Patent number: 4297999
Abstract: A portable resuscitation apparatus is described including a flat support having a neck cushion at one end thereof to properly position the patient's head and to also provide a secure means for attaching a mask to the patient's face and head. The mask includes a pair of cheek straps extending therefrom which are secured to opposite sides of the neck cushion. A flexible strap is secured to the upper central portion of the mask and to the neck cushion. A flexible hose extends from the mask to a ventilation pump mounted on the support whereby compression of the pump will cause air to be forced through the flexible hose to the mask. The mask includes a first valve provided therein which permits communication from the atmosphere of the interior of the mask during the times that the pump is not being operated. The mask also includes a second valve which is vented to the atmosphere upon a predetermined pressure being reached within the mask.

  • Patent number: 4113351
Abstract: A safety reflector device for bicycles or the like comprising a plurality of substantially U-shaped members having first and second ends. The U-shaped members have a light reflective surface on at least one side thereof. First and second connectors pivotally connect the first and second ends of the U-shaped members together respectively. The U-shaped members may be pivotally moved relative to each other from a closed super-imposed position to an open position. When in the open position, the U-shaped members are spaced from one another and suggest a large mass with depth, height and breadth when subjected to a light source. A support member is operatively connected to the U-shaped members for mounting the device on the forward and rearward portions of the bicycle.
