  • Publication number: 20220009679
Abstract: A silicone extruded spring strap that has the possibility to be folded around an axis parallel to its own axis of extrusion, thus creating the compression and release as of a spring. The base has a reach-in hole on its body to allow the user to reach through. The lid is the base's capping object; it is designed to cover the reach-in hole of the base. It should be designed in a way to limit the area of the remaining gaps of the base's reach-in hole. The spring strap clip designed to allow the extension of the spring during the closing motion of the lid. The extruded spring strap can store and release energy in order to displace the lid. It can be of any material that provides the appropriate stiffness to activate the lid. The retention latch is the user interface on which he acts in order to have the lid popup.

  • Publication number: 20210245936
Abstract: Smooth reach-in orifice acting as a cover or lid. A set of structural ribs are placed around the reach-in orifice acting as a dispensing flip-lid. Structural ribs are placed to the left and right of the orifice and blended with the base sealing rib. The outer wall is an offset wall from the inner reach-in sealing rib, inter structural ribs are connecting both outer and inner profiles. The apparent latch hole design is the existence of a hole on the cover located closed to the front tab, leading to the cover's latching mechanism, a fastening feature allowing the cover to snap itself onto the base. The living hinge is thicker at the outside edge of the hinge. The front lifting tab is a thin ledge, with a width between ? of the full width of the part front face, extending 1.5 to 3 mm off the overall body of the cover.

  • Publication number: 20200231344
Abstract: A dispensing tub with a lid/cover having a pair of spreader/retainer ribs. On the cover side, the spreader/retainer ribs increase the opening degree of the spring clip latches. The spring clip latches collide with the spreader/retainer ribs before the latches reach their default final position. As the lid hook reaches the spring clip assembly through the gap between the spreader/retainer ribs, the gap is larger than the width of lid hook for proper lid release and lid locking. The spreader/retainer ribs are located on top of spring clip assembly, when the spring clip assembly opens and move upward, the spring clip latches will collide with spreader/retainer ribs and the opening path of latches are guided by the spreader/retainer ribs. The spreader/retainer ribs force the spring clip latches to open with an opening degree that is larger than default to release lid hook.

  • Patent number: 10526127
Abstract: A lid that can be open with a flip of a finger, once opened, the lid will hold its position with the help of a stopper and force store in an elastic hinge. This will provide the user with a very opened and clear view on the canister content. If it's a first time use, the user may reach the content through a wide orifice through the body, and pull the lead of the roll through it, then, by passing towards the tearing and holding pattern orifice, the user will be able to cleanly tear one sheet, the holding pattern holding the thread in place ready for later use. The user then flips the lid down in order to close it.

  • Publication number: 20140209604
Abstract: A conventional pop-up latch mechanism to which a second rotating tongue that will disengage the main latch is used in combination. This tongue is moved in place by pressing on the lid a similar way as to close it. It allows for the design team to have a much wider freedom of designing the closure, without the need to have an area dedicated for the pop-up activation device, reducing mold complexity and cost at the same time. The lid is open by a very simple push down motion. It also requires the user to reach a certain amount of force to open it avoiding accidental opening in case the closure fall on the ground. A slightly recessed lid leads the user to push on the lid.

  • Publication number: 20140174979
Abstract: An over-molded elastomer insert on the bottom surface of a plastic tub. The elastomer material has a higher friction coefficient than the usual plastic material used to make the tub. The elastomer pad is integrated to the surface of the tub which is in contact with the table top or flat surface on which it is placed. The bottom surface presents some areas filled by material with a higher coefficient of friction, they are less prone to sliding. An over-molded elastomer insert on the top surface of a plastic tub's lid or lid. The elastomer parts are integrated to the surface of the tub which is in contact with the bottom of another tub sitting on top of it when stacked. The top surface presents some areas filled by material with a higher coefficient of friction, this helps to improve the stability of tubs stacked one over the other.
