  • Publication number: 20040044674
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for parsing itinerary data on a computing device. In architecture, the system includes a data acquisition module that acquires itinerary data and a parsing module that parses the itinerary data into the a computer readable itinerary data. The system further includes a generation module that generates a predefined user form with the computer readable itinerary data. The present invention can also be viewed as a method for parsing itinerary data on a computing device. The method operates by (1) providing itinerary data; (2) parsing the itinerary data into a computer readable itinerary data; and (3) generating a predefined user form with the computer readable itinerary data.

  • Publication number: 20020194207
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for providing remote device data synchronization. In architecture, the system includes a remote device with a device data, a server device containing an original data and a revision data of the original data, and a delta data that identifies only the changes between the original data and the revision data. The present invention can also be viewed as a method for transmitting data that is modified on a server to a remote device. The method operates by (1) providing an original data; (2) creating update data of the original data; and (3) generating a delta data that identifies only the changes between the original data and the updated data; and (4) transmitting the delta data to a remote device.

  • Patent number: 6023715
Abstract: An authoring tool allows users to create complex documents from a base division model, the model includes a plurality of pointers allowing the divisions to be interconnected to one another dynamically to create a complex hierarchy of divisions, including nested divisions. The content of a division may be located externally to the actual document and authoring tool system. A display mechanism is further disclosed for instantaneously determining the division name and page number within a document from a graphic user display.

  • Patent number: 5890176
Abstract: A single file holds multiple versions of a document composed of an interconnection of objects which themselves have versions and are stored in the file. When the document is changed by changing any of the interconnected objects, a check is first made to determine whether the object version is same as the document version currently being edited. If not, a copy of the object is made and saved. Any version of the document can be reconstructed by interconnecting object versions which have a highest level which is equal to, or less than, the desired document version. Therefore, only objects which are changed are duplicated and copies of objects are only made when an object changes. The interconnection of the objects to form structure of the document is maintained by an interconnection of object pointers. Each object has an associated demand loader object which includes a list of object versions for the associated object plus a pointer to one of the versions.

  • Patent number: 4868738
Abstract: An improved virtual memory computer system comprising a main processing unit for executing application and operating system software without virtual memory code and independently of virtual memory operation. A dedicated second processing unit is provided for maintaining a memory map, which translates addresses in the main processing unit address space into physical memory addressess of a primary memory. A network interface allows pages or segments of data from a secondary memory connected to a communications network to be transferred into the primary memory in a manner transparent to the operation of the main processing unit. A direct memory access (DMA) circuit transfer the header portion of a network-transferred page of data into a separate auxiliary addressable memory for storage of network overhead information, while the useful data portions of the page are stored directly in locations in the primary addressable memory.
