Patent number: 9923306Abstract: A sensor interconnect system is disclosed. The sensor interconnect system comprises a first connection component comprising a locking pin, a locating pin and a spring loaded electrical contact comprising at least one contact pin and a second connection component comprising an alignment feature, a locking feature, and a second electrical contact. The second connection component is coupled to a sensor located in a contained fluid sensing area. The locking pin interacts with the locking feature to maintain a lateral position of the first connection component relative to the second connection component and the locating pin interacts with the alignment feature to maintain a rotational position of the first connection component relative to the second connection component. The at least one contact pin of the spring loaded electrical contact is in electrical communication with the second electrical contact, when the system is assembled.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2017Date of Patent: March 20, 2018Assignee: Adalet/Scott Fetzer CompanyInventors: John W. Patent number: 8768768Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for inferring a value of a visitor property for a visitor to a web destination are described. A set of traversals indicating visits to web destinations are received, including scored and unscored traversals. Initial destination scores for the web destinations visited by the scored traversals are inferred based on the known scores of the scored traversals. Initial scores for the unscored traversals are estimated based on the initial destinations scores. Revised destination scores for the web destinations visited by the scored traversals and initial destination scores for the web destinations only visited by the unscored traversals are inferred. Revised scores for the unscored traversals are estimated based on the revised destination scores and initial destination scores. Revised destination scores for all of the web destinations are inferred based on the scores of the scored traversals and the revised scores of the unscored traversals.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 2012Date of Patent: July 1, 2014Assignee: Google Inc.Inventor: John W. Publication number: 20140108376Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for selecting resources associated with a common topic. In one aspect, a method includes selecting a first resource associated with a topic, the first resource accessed in a user session, selecting a second resource accessed during the user session, determining whether the second resource is associated with the topic, and increasing a relevance score of the second resource and the topic based on determining that the second resource is not associated with the topic.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2008Publication date: April 17, 2014Applicant: GOOGLE INC.Inventors: John B. Patent number: 8145530Abstract: A reservation system can identify available placements based on targeting criteria provided by advertisers and placement inventory data provided by publishers. The reservation system can receive reservation data for the available placements from the publishers and provide the reservation data with the available placements to the advertisers. The available placements and can be ranked and presented to the advertisers based on a first precision with which the placement can satisfy the advertiser's targeting criteria. A second precision can be determined for each placement that has enabled targeting rules. In turn, the reservation system can rank and present the placements based on the first and second precisions.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2008Date of Patent: March 27, 2012Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Parag Samdadiya, Rama Ranganath, Robert F. Patent number: 7082391Abstract: A system for responding to spoken commands enables a computer system to avoid some synchronization problems. In certain embodiments, object oriented programming may be utilized to create an object which seamlessly coordinates between an application program and a speech engine. An object may respond to a given command which is applied tactilely or through spoken commands in a fashion which allows the application to act in the same way whatever the form of the input. In this way, an application may efficiently utilize spoken commands. For example, the spoken commands may be recognized as applying to one of two currently active tasks or windows. Through coordination with the application itself, the speech engine can be advised of a sub-vocabulary within its overall vocabulary which should be consulted in connection with certain ongoing commands. This improves the accuracy of the speech recognition process, since the spoken words need only be compared to a smaller sub-vocabulary for speech recognition purposes.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 1998Date of Patent: July 25, 2006Assignee: Intel CorporationInventor: John W. Patent number: 6393560Abstract: An operating system may be more efficiently initiated and restarted by making a virtual image of the configuration settings for a base system configuration. These settings may be stored and may be used to quickly initiate the system in its base configuration, for example, using an executive. The base configuration may be automatically modified in response to system hardware or software configuration changes. These changes may be stored with the base configuration information. When a crash occurs, the virtual image may be used to quickly restore the system without the necessity for rebooting the operating system.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 1999Date of Patent: May 21, 2002Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: John W.
