  • Patent number: 9644462
Abstract: When a fossil fuel well is producing fossil fuel, lift gas injected into the well to bring the naturally occurring fluids in the well to the surface along with the fossil fuel and the plunger if the well has a plunger. An instrument is programmed to use the predetermined criteria to dynamically control the rate of injection of the lift gas into the well.

  • Patent number: 8376241
Abstract: A single lever valve for mixing hot and cold liquids has a mixer which can internally impose an upper limit on the temperature of any liquid emerging from it. The means used may enable the upper limit to be changed by exchange of a component so that the mixer can be used in any location in an installation even though different locations might have different upper limit requirements. The mixer may take the form of a cartridge able to be exchanged with an existing cartridge to convert an “unsafe” mixer to a “safe” one.

  • Publication number: 20100162463
Abstract: The present invention is a knitted cloth mitten for the hand(s) preferably comprised of nylon, polyester and Lycra that is closed on one end and open on the opposite end. The open end has a knitted collar around the mitten with a small cut or opening to allow for insertion of a releasable cable tie. A piece of plastic is adhered to the palm portion of the mitten, from the fingertips to the middle of the palm, to make the palm area rigid. A releasable cable tie is threaded through the collar and around the open part of the mitten. After an individual's hands are restrained using properly placed and properly secured handcuffs, the present invention will be slid over an individual's hands with the rigid (plastic) side of the mitten to the palm side of the hand. The mitten will be extended to stop just below the handcuffs. The releasable cable tie is then pulled taught around the wearer's wrist, so as to not allow removal by the wearer.

The mixer may take the form of a cartridge able to be exchanged with an existing cartridge to convert an “unsafe” mixer to a “safe” one. There is a cylindrical mixing chamber with hot and cold liquid entry through ports through the side walls at opposite ends. A piston sealingly slidable within the chamber effects opening and closing of the ports.

An adjustment means is provide enabling the upper temperature limit cut-off to be accurately set—even before assembly of the mixer.

  • Patent number: 6412272
Abstract: A fuel nozzle guide and method of assembly/disassembly is disclosed with the nozzle guide having a frusto-conical hub section, an annular base, a pair of retaining tabs for securing the guide to the outer wall of a combustor bulkhead for limited movement relative to the bulkhead, and a radial inflow swirler. The method of assembly/disassembly comprises assembling/disassembling the nozzle guide in the bulkhead from the outer wall (cold) side of the bulkhead and mechanically connecting/disconnecting the nozzle guide to/from the outer wall of the bulkhead with mechanical fasteners.
