  • Publication number: 20240078359
Abstract: Apparatus operative via executable software to quantify building metrics using artificial intelligence analysis of a design plan. A design plan is represented using multiple dynamic components. Each dynamic component may include a parameter changeable via the user interactive interface. The dynamic components may be arranged in a user interactive interface to form a first set of boundaries, including a respective length and area, and defining at least a portion of a first unit. AI is used to determine a longest path of egress and a supportable occupancy load that may be used to determine compliance with parameters of a given code. The AI may assess whether a building described in the design plans complies with a relevant code set forth by an authority having jurisdiction. Codes may include, for example, codes enforcing fire safety and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

  • Patent number: 7866137
Abstract: A recyclable chenille yarn has a core yarn or core yarns, and effect yarns, of natural fiber materials. The core yarn or yarns hold the effect yarns by twisting the yarns together, so that no binder is necessary or used. Accordingly, the chenille yarn is biodegradable and readily recyclable. Preferred natural fibers for the yarns include bamboo, kudzu, potato, alpaca, banana, coconut, kenaf and soybean.

  • Publication number: 20070251206
Abstract: A recyclable chenille yarn comprising a core yarn and an effect yarn wherein at least one of the core yarn and effect yarn comprises a natural fiber selected from the group consisting of bamboo, kudzu, potato, tobacco, alpaca, banana, coconut, kenaf and soybean.

  • Publication number: 20060014016
Abstract: The yarns of the present invention satisfy the need for a multi-purpose yarn, capable of improved abrasion resistance, seam slippage and dimensional stability while eliminating traditional fabric's backing materials and costs associated with the production thereof. In one aspect, the method of producing yarn and fabrics comprises supplying a first yarn, supplying a low melt yarn, placing the two yarns adjacent to one another, and winding the two adjacent yarns. In another aspect, the method of producing yarns and fabrics further comprises weaving the yarns into a fabric and heating the fabric, wherein heating the fabric heats the low melt yarn, melting at least one filament and adhering the low melt yarn to the first yarn or fabric.
