  • Publication number: 20230330952
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a composite component with continuous fibre reinforcement and having a reinforced hole. The hole is reinforced by incorporation of at least one reinforcing element (1) into a layered arrangement of continuous fibres. The reinforcing element comprises a circumferential member (2) with a through-going first hole (9) and a plurality of continuous element fibres (3). The at least one reinforcing element (1) is arranged in an overlapping and/or sandwiching engagement with the layered arrangement so that the first hole is arranged within and aligned with a second hole (8) to be reinforced. Hereby an externally force applied to the reinforced hole during use of the component is distributed over a larger region of the material around the hole. Thereby the component can be joined to another part e.g. by a bolted connection which allows for disassembly that would not have been possible if they were joined by adhesive joining.

  • Publication number: 20110198013
Abstract: A mould for manufacturing a composite part including at least one fibre reinforced matrix in particular a wind turbine blade is provide. The mould includes at least one thermal insulating core layer disposed between at least one inner laminate layer and at least one outer laminate layer and at least one heating and/or cooling means disposed in contact or in close proximity to the inner and/or outer laminate layer.

  • Patent number: 7938019
Abstract: A sealed electrode assembly for fluid measurements in a pressurized pipe having a wall, for providing contact between an electrode in contact with the fluid and the outside. The assembly includes a conductive bolt extending from the electrode and through the wall, a lining in the pipe having an opening for the bolt and insulating the electrode from the wall, a sealing ring fitted around the bolt, a mantel surrounding the bolt having a recess partially accepting the sealing ring and provided a pressure on the sealing ring when pressed into the recess, and a tightening structure on the outside of the wall for applying a pressure forcing the electrode toward the wall and thus a pressure between the lining, sealing ring and mantel.

  • Publication number: 20100206420
Abstract: There is described a flow pipe (10) of metal for use in a flow meter for fluids, particularly multiphase fluids. The flow pipe has a main run (7) and one or more laterally extending channels (t) of small diameter relative to the main run. The internal surface of the main run that defines the flow area, is cladded with a corrosion and wear resistant metallic material (6) different from the metallic material of the remainder of the flow pipe. The material that encloses and defines the laterally extending channels (t) is of the same metallic material as the internal surface of the flow pipe. Consequently a continuous and integrated internal cladding is formed in the main run so that a fluid in the flow pipe (10) is in contact with the corrosion and wear resistant material only.
