  • Publication number: 20040187500
Abstract: A heat engine unit has a combustion chamber, the combustion chamber being in communication with a previous component of the heat engine unit, e.g., a compressor, a heat exchanger or a recuperator, at a first end, and in communication with subsequent stages of the heat engine unit at a second end. The combustion chamber comprises at least one part, and is allowed to expand when exposed to heat by being movably engaged at the first end. The combustion chamber is supported at the second end by way of a contact surface formed between the second end of the combustion chamber and supporting means to allow tilting of the combustion chamber.

  • Publication number: 20040079071
Abstract: A gas turbine has a fuel injection system for supplying pressurized fuel gas to a combustion chamber of a gas turbine. The fuel injection system has at least one electrically controllable magnetic valve working with pulse-width modulation, i.e., controlling the gas flow by varying the length of its opening time pulses in relation to its closing time, in a gas supply conduit. The fuel injection system has at least one electrically controllable magnetic main valve arranged in the supply conduit. Moreover, at least one pilot valve is connected to the supply conduit with its upstream end after the main valve and with its downstream end connected to a conduit leading into a pilot flame chamber inside the combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 5332959
Abstract: A device for control of power (P) generated by a gas turbine (1) which drives an electric generator (2) with a rectifier (3) connected thereto, comprises a control member (6) adapted to control the fuel supply of the gas turbine (1) in such a way that the inlet temperature (T) of the gas turbine is caused to correspond, at least substantially, to a predetermined value (TR). A direct-voltage network (4) with controllable voltage (U) is connected to the rectifier (3) and the control member (6) generates a voltage control signal (URs) which is supplied to the direct-voltage network (4) .

  • Patent number: 4045099
Abstract: A rotor of self-supporting type for a turbo-machine. The rotor comprises a plurality of axially spaced discs which are interleaved with spacing rings and with the assembled combination of discs and rings held together by through bolts. Each spacing ring is provided on each opposed face with an annular shoulder which mates with a cooperating annular shoulder on an opposing face of an adjacent disc so as to prevent relative radial movement among the assembled discs and rings. A portion of each ring extends radially inwardly of its annular shoulders and is provided with a thickness in the axial direction which is less than the spacing between the opposing surfaces of the adjoining discs.
