Abstract: A medical sterilization container valve and method of making the same is provided. The medical sterilization container valve includes a valve housing affixed to a medical sterilization container. A first valve portion is attached to the valve housing. A second valve portion is proximate to the first valve portion, wherein the second valve portion is movable between at least a first position and a second position. A shape metal alloy (SMA) device is connected with the second valve portion, wherein the SMA device moves the second valve portion between the first and second positions.
