  • Publication number: 20220283038
Abstract: Provided herein is an apparatus and method for sensing the temperature of a tubing wall, and inferentially the temperature of a fluid within the tubing. The apparatus includes first and second clamp bodies, the first clamp body comprising a heat transfer element and a first and a second electrical connection connected thereto, the second clamp body connectable to the first clamp body to form a clamping cavity therebetween within which a clamped element having a wall is securable, the heat transfer element configured to contact an outer surface of a clamped element therebetween. The heat transfer element may include a thermally conductive compliant element extending through one of the clamp bodies and inwardly of the clamping cavity.

  • Patent number: 10144119
Abstract: A wrench and method of using the wrench to properly make up threaded connections is provided. The wrench includes at least a strain gauge coupled thereto, such that when the wrench is used to turn one part of a threaded connection, the strain associated with different states of the making up of the connection is monitored, to establish a baseline condition after which the one part of the threaded connection is turned an additional number of degrees, turns, or fractions of a turn. The wrench and method may be used to make up fluid tight connections, where previously the threaded parts were finger tightened, followed by turning thereof an additional number of degrees, turns, or fractions of a turn.

  • Publication number: 20070142180
Abstract: A trampoline provides higher performance and greater shock absorption capability by utilizing pairs of springs to connect the rebounding mat to the supporting frame. The springs in each pair are coupled to a common junction on the periphery of the rebounding mat, being disposed vertically with respect to each other. The upper spring in each pair is directly connected to the rebounding mat and the trampoline frame to initially to tension the mat in the equilibrium position. The lower spring in each pair is coupled to the frame and then to rebounding mat via a linkage arm such that it comes substantially under tension only as the corresponding upper spring is stretched. Depending on the level of impact force on the trampoline mat both springs extend, such that their combined stored energy propels the user upward on the return bounce. However, as each spring pair engages in stages the shock of the users initially landing is gradually absorbed.

  • Patent number: 5948704
Abstract: A vacuum processing chamber having a substrate support removably mounted therein. The chamber includes an opening in a sidewall thereof and the opening is large enough to allow the substrate support to be removed from the chamber through the opening. A modular mounting arrangement extends through the opening and removably supports the substrate support in the interior of the chamber at a position located inwardly of an inner sidewall of the chamber. The mounting arrangement includes a mounting flange and a support arm. The mounting flange is attached to an exterior surface of the chamber and the support arm extends between the substrate support and the mounting flange. The chamber includes a single vacuum port in a central portion of an endwall of the chamber spaced from the substrate support. The vacuum port is connected to a vacuum pump which removes gases from the interior of the chamber and maintains the chamber at a pressure below atmospheric pressure.
