  • Patent number: 10574662
Abstract: A multi-factored authentication system is provided to identify users. Accordingly, the authentication system may utilize a combination of multiple authentication methods to identify and authenticate a user, such as facial recognition, voice recognition, fingerprint/retinal recognition, detection of cards/chips or smartphones located with the user, PINs, passwords, cryptographic keys, tokens, and the like. The various authentication methods may be used to calculate a confidence value for the authentication system, where the confidence value reflects the degree of certainty of the user's identity. Each authentication method may, upon identifying a positive match for a user, increase the confidence value by a certain degree.

  • Patent number: 10531372
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for managing location-based service zones being monitored by a client device. The location-based service zones within a geographic region can be organized in location-based service zone clusters. In response to receiving an active zone from a computing device, a client device can begin monitoring the geographic parameters for the top-level location-based service zone clusters. When the client device detects an entry into a particular location-based service zone cluster, the client device stops monitoring the top-level location-based service zone clusters and begins monitoring the location-based service zones that are within the particular location-based service zone cluster.

  • Patent number: 10509457
Abstract: A processor can have a plurality of cores. A first core processor of a first core can read one or more values of a default parameter set. The first core can be operated in accordance with a first operating characteristic based, at least in part, on the one or more values of the default parameter set. The first core processor can receive an indication to change the operating characteristic of the first core processor. In response to receiving the indication to change the operating characteristic, a signal can be issued to the first core processor to reset. In response to the reset, the first core processor can read one or more values of an alternative parameter set. The first core processor can then be operated in accordance with a second operating characteristic based, at least in part, on the one or more values of the alternative parameter set.

  • Patent number: 10482421
Abstract: A user may order items that may be made available at a facility such as a pickup facility. Described are techniques for preparing and expediting an order for pick up by the user. In one implementation, geolocation data acquired from a user device may be used to determine when the user has entered a geofence associated with the facility. Based on this geolocation data and sensor data from sensors at the facility, a system may automatically identify the user. Once identified, the items in the order may be delivered to the user in a parking area of the pickup facility, who may then depart the pickup facility.

  • Publication number: 20190117333
Abstract: A dental laser system for treatment of hard and/or soft tissue includes a main chamber housing optical and primary fluid supply subsystems, for directing a laser beam and fluid to a treatment area. A hand piece affixable to the main chamber, includes mating optical and secondary fluid supply subsystems. The hand piece can be rotatable or re-orientable about an optical axis within the hand piece. A lock can maintain a selectable angular orientation of the hand piece relative to the main chamber. A coupling can maintain a fluidic communication between the primary and secondary fluid supply subsystems even when the hand piece is rotated or re-oriented. A sensor and controller can sense a selected angular orientation of the hand piece and adjust the main optical subsystem according to the sensed angular orientation, to align the two optical subsystems. The laser may be controlled using a variable speed foot pedal.
