  • Patent number: 10524669
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a physiological condition in a person, comprising input structure for receiving at least two physiological parameters, processing structure for determining, from the received physiological parameters, a result signal indicative of the presence or onset of said physiological condition, and output structure for generating an output indicative of the result signal. The apparatus further comprises storage structure for storing a look-up table comprising a plurality of entries, each entry corresponding to a pre-calculated probability of the presence or onset of said physiological condition, the pre-calculated probabilities being determined by way of a mathematical process from previously monitored physiological parameters; and the processing means is adapted to process the received at least two physiological parameters to identify one of the plurality of entries of the look-up table, and to determine said result signal from the identified entry of the look-up table.

  • Patent number: 9501949
Abstract: The present specification discloses a method, system and program product that can be used for self-management of any chronic disease. The invention involves the use of a device to enter patient's disease related data. Based on this data patient's habits are detected and presented in a graphical format. The user also has the option of setting up a reminder based on the detected habits.

  • Publication number: 20090318876
Abstract: The present invention relates to a medication delivery device (1) comprising a cartridge compartment adapted to receive and hold a medicament containing cartridge (4), the cartridge compartment comprising an electromagnetic device (5) formed as an induction coil and adapted to generate a magnetic field having a spatial overlap with at least part of a medicament in a cartridge positioned in the cartridge compartment, the electromagnetic device forming part of an electronic circuit adapted to oscillate at a predetermined resonance frequency. The present invention further relates to a cartridge and a label comprising an electromagnetic device adapted to generate a magnetic field having a spatial overlap with at least part of a medicament in a cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20080171913
Abstract: A method and apparatus for monitoring long term and short term effects of a medical treatment having a build-in dilemma between conflicting objectives are provided. A plot of the temporal development of a balance between long term and short term effects is obtained. Thereby is provided an illustrative and easy-to-use tool to express contradicting objectives and enabling a user to balance the two in a deliberate and calculated fashion. Suitable for diabetes treatment balancing the risk of long term complications against the short term risk of severe hypoglycemia.
