  • Patent number: 11917391
Abstract: In an audio signal processing method, a processing device obtains a current position relationship between a sound source and a listener. The processing device then obtains a current audio rendering function based on the current position relationship. When the current position relationship is different from a stored previous position relationship, the processing device adjusts an initial gain of the current audio rendering function based on the current position relationship and the previous position relationship, to obtain an adjusted gain of the current audio rendering function. The processing device then obtains an adjusted audio rendering function based on the current audio rendering function and the adjusted gain, and generates a current output signal based on a current input signal and the adjusted audio rendering function.

  • Publication number: 20210358506
Abstract: In an audio signal processing method, an audio signal processing apparatus receives an audio signal that meets a screening condition at a listening position, where the screening condition includes one or more of the following conditions: a volume at the listening position being greater than or equal to a volume threshold, a listening distance between the sound source and the listening position being less than or equal to a preset listening distance, or the sound source being in a range corresponding to a listening orientation. The apparatus decodes the audio signal meeting the screening condition to obtain a decoded audio signal. The apparatus then renders the decoded signal based on a sound channel transfer function in a playing device to obtain an output signal.

  • Patent number: 6898191
Abstract: The invention concerns a digital radio (2) for pseudo-duplex radio communication, and a method of transmission time mediation for pseudo-duplex radio communication. A digital radio (2) is in time division duplex communication with a second digital radio (4). The digital radio (2) derives a source signal activity parameter (VAD) indicating the likelihood of there being a source signal for transmission by the digital radio (2) to the second digital radio (4) over a single radio channel. The digital radio (2) also derives a first value (VADDir1) of a signal direction parameter (VADDir) in dependence on both the value of the signal activity parameter (VAD) for the digital radio (2) and a second value (VADDir2) of the signal direction parameter (VADDir) received from the second digital radio (4); The digital radio (2) selects the proportions of time for transmission and reception over the single radio channel in dependence on the first value (VADDir1) of the signal direction parameter (VADDir).

  • Patent number: 6724735
Abstract: The invention concerns a digital radio (2) for pseudo-duplex radio communication, and a method of transmission time mediation for pseudo-duplex radio communication. A digital radio (2) is in time division duplex communication with a second digital radio (4) over a single radio channel. Control of the radio channel may reside with either radio. However, authority for a radio to change the frame format in order to increase the proportion of time for which it transmits always resides entirely with the radio currently transmitting the least per frame. This arrangement allows rapid response to a need for a radio to move from listening to speaking mode, thereby reducing speech clipping. When the digital radio (2) and the second digital radio (4) are transmitting for equal proportions of the frame, authority to change the frame format passes to the radio that is transmitting at that instant.

  • Patent number: 6693968
Abstract: A digital portable or mobile radio (2) includes signal transmission means (20, 22, 24), a controller (20) for periodically interrupting signal transmission by the signal transmission means during a transmit interrupt frame, and signal reception means (20, 24, 28). The controller (20) operates the signal reception means (20, 24, 28) for a first period during a transmit interrupt frame, whereby if the signal reception means detects valid return signalling during the first period, then the controller (20) extends operation of the signal reception means for a further second period, and if the signal reception means does not detect valid return signalling during the first period, then the controller (20) terminates operation of the signal reception means at the end of the first period and re-commences transmission of the digital radio signal by the signal transmission means.
