  • Publication number: 20010039444
Abstract: The invention provides an electrode kit for muscle stimulation to be used in conjunction with a splint, the kit including an electrode carrier attachable to an interior surface of the splint and consisting of a relatively thin, flexible, tray-like member; a thin, flexible electrode member fixedly attached to the electrode carrier, and a skin-contacting pad member consisting of a piece of medium-absorptive material fixedly mounted on a rigidifying frame attachable to, and removable from, the electrode carrier.

  • Patent number: 6264118
Abstract: A Strip irrigator comprising a body member fitted with an inlet for coupling to an irrigation water supply and an outlet nozzle of said body member, defining a longitudinal axis, a distribution member formed with a water engaging portion consisting of two ducts forming between them an essentially V-like shape with an intersection adjacent a lower end thereof, each duct ending at a deflection groove, and a support bracket pivotally supporting the distribution member to the body member. The arrangement being such that responsive to a water jet emitted from the outlet nozzle, the distribution member generates reactionary forces imparting it as a reciprocal rocking motion about a horizontal axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 5833716
Abstract: There is provided disposable, liquid-impregnable adhesive cloth pad for an electrode/skin interface, having a cloth pad impregnable with, and substantially retaining, an electrically conductive liquid and adapted to be mounted on selected locations on the skin of a patient, an electrically conductive electrode connectable to a stimulator for supplying stimulating impulses to the electrode, and a layer of an adhesive applied at least to a portion of the cloth pad, the layer serving to removably attach the pad to the electrode. There is also provided an electrode system, having a conductive member electrically connectable to a stimulator, an electrode in spaced-apart relationship with the conductive member, and a spring element providing an elastic, resilience-generated force ensuring an electrical contact between the conductive member and the electrode.

  • Patent number: 5791052
Abstract: A girdling tool including a runner which glides along the periphery of a part of a tree; and a knife which girdles the part of the tree, the knife and the runner being angularly spaced from each other so as to define a space for positioning therein the part of the tree, wherein rotation of the runner about the knife changes the size of the space for positioning therein the part of the tree.

  • Patent number: 5725489
Abstract: A crocodile-type splint, including a first Jaw having a substantially trough-like structure at least approximately conforming to sections of the palmar side of a limb, a second jaw having a substantially trough-like structure at least approximately conforming to sections of the dorsal side of the limb, a first joint whereby the jaws are articulated to one another to the effect of permitting the trough-like jaws to include with one another a range of different angles, from an angle small enough for the jaws to clampingly surround the limb, to an angle large enough to at least permit the limb to be freely introduced between the two jaws.

  • Patent number: 4961641
Abstract: A slide projector has a light table oriented at 60.degree. to a generally horizontal base and connected thereto by a detachable connector. The light table has a tray mounted thereon for movement into mutually orthogonal directions parallel to the plane of the light table and supported by a counterweight, the tray receiving a planar slide holder whose slides and windows are alignable with a window in the light table. A projection lamp is located at the front side of the window while the projection optics are located at the rear side of the window.
