Abstract: A foam-based dog bed with no loose fiber comprising 5 components: 4 identical bolsters and 1 internal mattress is described. Both the internal mattress and bolsters may be comprised of 2-layers of different foam qualities. The foam pieces are wrapped in foam sheaths to make stuffing and un-stuffing into the outer fabric cover easier. The outer fabric cover is comprised of a top fabric, border fabric and bottom fabric. The top fabric incorporates specifically tailored wrinkles to allow a dog to dig, scratch, and prepare their bed. On the bottom panel of the dog bed is an outer perimeter zipper. The outer zipper starts and stops at a zipper pocket, which also serves as a hinge to open/close the bottom panel. The zipper pocket holds the zipper pull to prevent a dog from biting at it.

A chute directs waste deposited through an aperture in the housing into the waste-collection container. A fill sensor monitors the fill level of the waste-collection container. When the waste-collection container reaches a fill threshold, a controller sends a signal that electronically locks the aperture, thereby preventing additional waste from being deposited into the receptacle.

Abstract: A container for storage and shipping of objects includes a lid assembly having two configurations and an open-top box. In the first configuration the container can be loaded with objects for storage or collection while limiting physical and visual access to the contents of the box and in the second configuration, the container is sealed for shipping. The lid assembly contains side flaps which may be used to stabilize the lid assembly in the first configuration, and in the second configuration, secure the lid assembly to the open-top box. Preferably, the container is formed from one contiguous blank. The blank is preferably made of corrugated cardboard but may be formed from any substantially rigid material.

Abstract: Devices and methods for distributing a fluid, e.g., a fluid drug, are disclosed. Fluid-drug distribution can be advantageously utilized to help patients suffering from a disorder that affect fine motor skill usage, e.g., Parkinson's Disease. Some aspects are directed to dosing containers that are adapted to distribute one or more selected dosages of fluid from the container. In some instances, the containers are adapted to be operable by patients with hindered fingertip motor control to help dispense a fluid-drug, such as a fluid including carbidopa and levodopa. Other aspects are directed to a kit for distributing a fluid drug that can be stored with a longer shelf life in solid form. Also discussed herein are methods for distributing a fluid drug for treating a disorder such as Parkinson's Disease.
