    Abstract: A method and apparatus for delivering emergency SMS messages minimizes processing delays and to ensure delivery of SMS message even when SMS services are otherwise unavailable to a mobile station. New message type indicators are defined to indicate messages that contain emergency SMS data to significantly increases the chances that a message will be delivered even when the network is congested. Also, new service type is defined for emergency SMS messages to remove many of the restrictions that could prevent a message from being delivered.

    Abstract: A visual interface for a PTT user terminal displays user images of participants in a PTT conference. When a PTT conference is established, a controller determines whether an image associated with each participant invited to the PTT conference is stored in memory on the user terminal. For each participant that has an associated image stored on the user terminal, the controller displays the image. For those participants that do not have an associated image stored on the user terminal, the controller generates and sends a request for the image. Upon receipt of the image, the controller displays the image on the user terminal. During the PTT conference, the controller alters the appearance of the images to show the status information of each participant, such as which participant has floor control and presence of participants.

    Abstract: A system and method of receiving specific information at a mobile terminal from a help server. The mobile terminal sends a request to the help server that includes at least one context sensitive datum. The help server receives the request and obtains a reply based on the context sensitive data. The reply is then sent to the mobile terminal where it is communicated to a user. In one embodiment, a help request may be sent from the mobile terminal as the user is in need of specific help in overcoming a problem.
