Abstract: A method for publishing a data message to shared storage includes receiving an action targeting a user associated with a distributed network having a plurality of service providers. Each service provider includes a private storage system and has access to a shared storage system. The method also includes parsing data elements of the action into a first set of data elements and a second set of data elements. The method further includes classifying the first set of data elements into categories of a data taxonomy. The method additionally includes generating a message for the action where the message includes the first set of data elements. The method also includes publishing the message to the shared storage system using a first identifier indicating the user and a second identifier that indicates that a respective service provider associated with the action has authority to publish the message to the shared storage system.

Abstract: User profiles of remote desktops are managed in a crash-consistent manner. When a user logs into a remote desktop, metadata of the user profile is loaded from persistent storage while registry settings and files of the user profile are loaded asynchronously with respect to the login. During the remote desktop session, snapshots of the remote desktop image in persistent storage are generated periodically, and a change log that indicates changes to the user profile is created therefrom. The user profile stored in persistent storage is updated lazily using the change log at opportunistic times after snapshot generation. When the user logs out of the remote desktop, the user profile stored in the persistent storage is updated with any additional changes to the user profile by extracting the changes from the copy-on-write cache associated with the most recent snapshot.

Abstract: Content is organized for brands by selecting a plurality of brand templates. After each selection, a set of properties is generated by applying a portion of settings of the respective brand template, with the remaining settings being overridden with settings for a channel communicating one of a plurality of presentations to a node of a network involved in the communication. The plurality of presentations may include different renditions of the same content. The properties may include sections configured for different focus areas and/or types of content associated with at tags to enable brand-level-targeting. Filters may be identified in the properties. Based on each of the identifications, a property from among the generated sets of properties may be selected based on comparisons with the associated tags.

Abstract: A driveline joint may include a driveline shaft that has a plurality of slots and a shaft coupling positioned in an interior of the driveline shaft in which the shaft coupling includes one or more openings with each of the openings corresponding to one or more respective slots of the plurality of slots included in the driveline shaft. The driveline joint may include one or more spherical bearings that are each positioned between an interior lateral surface of the driveline shaft and an exterior lateral surface of the shaft coupling and against one of the openings of the shaft coupling. The driveline joint may include one or more fasteners, wherein each of the fasteners extends through one of the slots and one of the openings of the shaft coupling.

Abstract: A game-agnostic event detector can be used to automatically identify game events. Game-specific configuration data can be used to specify types of pre-processing to be performed on media for a game session, as well as types of detectors to be used to detect events for the game. Event data for detected events can be written to an event log in a form that is both human- and process-readable. The event data can be used for various purposes, such as to generate highlight videos or provide player performance feedback.

The beverage making and dispensing apparatus includes a housing, a controller, a user interface carried on the housing and operatively associated with the controller. A beverage making engine is associated with the housing and is controllably operated by the controller. The brew engine controllably receives a predetermined quantity of beverage making substance and beverage making liquid for producing a predetermined beverage. At least a plurality of reservoirs are individually, operatively associated with the apparatus and retained in the housing. Each reservoir is controllably operatively in communication with the beverage making engine to controllably, individually receive separate batches of beverage produced by the beverage making engine. Beverage is selectively, controllably dispensable from each reservoir on demand by selective controllable operation of a dispensing valve communicating with each reservoir.

The die stacking can be achieved by disposing a first semiconductor wafer over a second semiconductor wafer and then singulating the wafers. An execution layer is created by starting execution of one of the application files associated with the primary virtualized application package. Requests from the execution layer to the operating system for configuration settings and contents of application files of either the primary virtualized application package or secondary virtualized application package and providing requested configuration settings are satisfied using configuration settings and file information from both the primary and secondary virtualized application packages.

Abstract: A server accesses a previous frame of an image in a video and obtains hash values for each pixel in the previous frame and creates a hash map that stores each of the hash values. The server receives a current frame of the image and separates the current frame into a plurality of current blocks of pixels. The server calculates, using a hash function, a hash value for each of the current blocks of pixels. The server compares the hash values in the hash map with the hash values associated with the current frame and identifies a hash value in the hash map that matches a hash value in the current frame. The server compresses the current frame for transmission to a client using the identified matching hash values and pre-calculates a new hash map based on the current frame for use in compressing a next frame of the video.

Abstract: A designated storage system receives a request to store data in the local storage as a backup copy. The designated storage system requests a file system in the computer system to store the backup copy as a file in the local storage and maintains a record describing storage locations for each of the one or more sets of contiguous available file system data blocks. The storage system may transmit the record to a management computer configured to track which of the computer systems has stored the backup copy. The storage system then requests the file system to delete the file, whereupon the file system removes the file descriptor and frees the one or more file system data blocks in order to satisfy the deletion request but does not delete the data stored in the one or more file system data blocks.
