  • Publication number: 20190136525
Abstract: A system and method for controlling light shading and thermal insulation in a light transmissive structure is disclosed. An array of adjacently-positioned, inflatable first tubes is provided, each of the first tubes being inflatable to abut an inflated adjacent first tube. Each of an array of inflatable second tubes is nested within, and inflatable independent of, one of the first tubes. Each of the second tubes is connected to one of the first tubes such that when not inflated, each of the second tubes is flattened within the one of the first tubes. When inflated, each of the second tubes abut an inflated adjacent second tube via first tubes. The first tubes are preferably clear, while the second tubes are made of a reflective material.

  • Publication number: 20180328607
Abstract: A set of methods and apparatus for efficiently pressurizing and ventilating an air-supported greenhouse or other structure requiring pressurization and ventilation. A method for efficiently pressurizing and ventilating an air-supported structure comprises directing any external wind flow and external wind pressure into mechanical flow means, such as a fan, or fans in parallel, operating in the intake direction, and into the internal space of the air-supported structure and out of the internal space of the air-supported structure through internal pressure regulating exhaust means, whereby the internal space of the structure will be ventilated and pressurized with the assistance of any external wind and the reliability of mechanical flow means (fans).

  • Publication number: 20180223861
Abstract: A fan assembly is disclosed that includes one or more fan blades, each fan blade having a flexible airfoil wing. A curved, flexible wing is connected to a main spar element located between the upper and lower portions of the curved, flexible wing element. The curved, flexible wing forms the entire upper surface of the wing, the entire leading edge of the wing, and a portion of the lower surface of the wing.
