  • Publication number: 20160189247
Abstract: An online advertising system enables advertisers to create a new advertisement campaign and then upload a plurality of advertisement sets and rules for targeting, prioritizing, and frequency capping the advertisement sets. Within each advertisement set, the advertiser provides one or more creative groups of advertisements along with weightings or sequencing among the creative groups in the advertisement set. The online advertising system provides a summary user interface that presents the advertiser's purchased advertisement placements across all publishing sites. From the summary user interface, the advertiser can select an advertisement placement, which results in an editor user interface being presented that presents the details of the selected advertisement placement. The advertiser can then modify the selected advertisement placement, which is automatically updated in the summary user interface.

  • Publication number: 20160189244
Abstract: An online advertising system stores a plurality of creative groups. A creative group comprises one or more advertisement assets that are associated with an advertising concept. The online advertising system receives an advertisement asset associated with a particular advertising concept from an advertiser, and checks to see whether the advertisement asset complies with the formatting rules. The online advertising system formats the advertisement asset as needed to bring the advertisement asset into compliance. Alternatively, the online advertising system provides a notification user interface that indicates the advertisement asset is not in compliance with the formatting rules, and provides an option to format the advertisement asset such that it complies with the formatting rules.

  • Publication number: 20080095864
Abstract: The invention includes convenient methods of preparing: (1) highly concentrated liquid bromine-containing biocidal solutions, (2) highly concentrated mixed halogen liquid bromine and chlorine-containing biocidal solutions, and (3) high-activity bromine-containing biocidal solids, all having excellent physical and chemical stability. One method yields solutions that have concentrations of bromine in excess of 18% as Br2 (8% as Cl2) in which the mole ratio of hydroxide ion to hydrogen ion source is at least 1.9:1. Another method employs elemental bromine in conjunction with a solid organic or inorganic halogenating agent to yield halogen solutions at concentrations greater than 22.9% as Br2 (10.2% as Cl2). This method can be performed under conditions that exceed the solubility of the active ingredient such that it crystallizes and is recovered as a hydrated or anhydrous salt in good yield.

  • Publication number: 20070141973
Abstract: A method of controlling microbial contamination of poultry carcasses in the processing of poultry as food products is described. The method comprises contacting the carcasses with an aqueous medium containing an effective microbial inhibiting amount of active bromine resulting from the addition to the medium of (i) at least one 1,3-dibromo-5,5-dialkylhydantoin in which one of the alkyl groups is a methyl group and the other alkyl group contains in the range of 1 to about 4 carbon atoms or (ii) a solution thereof, or (iii) both of (i) and (ii). Such contacting inhibits contamination of the carcasses by microorganisms, even at least some bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics or antibacterials. Also described are improvements in a poultry chill tank containing an aqueous medium and a plurality of poultry carcasses in contact with the medium.

  • Publication number: 20060188429
Abstract: Liquid and solid bromine-containing compositions are described. A liquid mixed halogen composition is also described. The highly concentrated liquid compositions and the high-activity solid compositions have excellent physical and chemical stability. The compositions are effective biocides in water treatment. Methods of preparing the compositions are also disclosed. These include combining a bromine compound in the oxidation state of ?1 with hydrogen peroxide and a complexing agent followed by the addition of an alkaline source. The methods may further include the use of a solid organic or solid inorganic halogenating agent, conducting a solid-liquid separation, and adding an alkaline source.

  • Publication number: 20060134795
Abstract: Methods of analyzing low levels of peroxyacetic acid (PAA) in water are described. These methods employ buffering the PAA-containing water and the use of a N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine (DPD) indicator system in the presence of iodide ion. The intensity of the pink coloration that develops is quantitated by colorimetric or titrimetric methods and correlated to the ppm PAA in the water. Positive interference effects due to the presence of hydrogen peroxide are eliminated by performing the analyses quickly after the introduction of the reagents.

  • Publication number: 20060029680
Abstract: The present invention is directed to convenient methods of preparing: (1) highly concentrated liquid bromine-containing biocidal solutions and (2) highly concentrated mixed halogen liquid bromine and chlorine-containing biocidal solutions that have excellent physical and chemical stability. One method involves adding the acidic reaction medium to an alkaline source to effect the final pH adjustment and in another these are co-fed into a common reaction vessel. Both methods minimize the incidence of the acid hydrolysis reaction that undermines chemical yields and generates troublesome sulfate by-products. The methods offer superior reactor cooling efficiencies that reduce batch cycle times and suppress undesirable elevated temperature decomposition reactions.
