Abstract: The present invention is a computer controlled display device. In one embodiment, the display device includes a flat panel display having an input for receiving display data. Additionally, a moveable assembly may be coupled to the display. The moveable assembly may provide at least three degrees of freedom of movement for the flat panel display device. Additionally, the moveable assembly may have a cross-sectional area, which is substantially less than a cross-sectional area of a display structure of the flat panel display. Additionally, the moveable assembly may include a plurality of stacked ball-and-socket assemblies.

Abstract: Rotatable door lock with an integrated security feature is used in a housing having a lockable door panel. The housing has an opening therein. The lockable door panel includes a lock cylinder having a passage extending substantially radially therethrough. The lockable door panel further includes a door panel of sufficient size to cover the opening, the door panel having a door panel opening therein for receiving the lock cylinder, and at least one door panel recess in an outside of the door panel and leading to the door panel opening such that, when the lock cylinder is turned to a locking position relative to the door panel, the passageway is accessible through the at least one door panel recess. When the door panel is moved to a closed position to cover the opening, the lock cylinder in the door panel is received in the opening and is turnable to the locking position to lock the lockable door panel to the housing.

Abstract: A personal computer includes an outer wall having plug receptacles adapted to receive the plug-in cables of peripheral equipment such as keyboards, modems, printers, etc. The outer wall carries a comb element which forms a row of slots into which respective cables can be inserted. The slots serve to organize the cables which otherwise would tend to lay haphazardly on the computer support surface. A cover is pivotably mounted on the outer wall to extend across the slots. A cover extension can be snapped onto the cover to cover the plug receptacles.

Abstract: A modular monitor architecture based on a CRT comprises a base, a tilt/swivel module, a display module, and an input module. The base is coupled to and supports the tilt/swivel module. The display module is mounted on the tilt/swivel module and also defines a cavity for receiving the input module. The input module is attached to the display module in the cavity. Each module may take a variety of forms depending on the features that are provided by a particular variant. The tilt/swivel module may have a first form that provides the coupling that allows rotation and tilting of the display module or a second form that provides audio input and output in addition to the mobility features of the first form. Similarly, the display module has a first form for housing a smaller sized CRT and a second form for housing a larger sized CRT. Finally, the input module may have three forms: one for no input, a second for audio input or alternatively IR input, and an third for audio and video input.
