  • Publication number: 20240095463
Abstract: Approaches presented herein can provide for the performance of specific types of tasks using a large model, without a need to retrain the model. Custom endpoints can be trained for specific types of tasks, as may be indicated by the specification of one or more guidance mechanisms. A guidance mechanism can be added to or used along with a request to guide the model in performing a type of task with respect to a string of text. An endpoint receiving such a request can perform any marshalling needed to get the request in a format required by the model, and can add the guidance mechanisms to the request by, for example, prepending one or more text strings (or text prefixes) to a text-formatted request. A model receiving this string can process the text according to the guidance mechanisms. Such an approach can allow for a variety of tasks to be performed by a single model.

  • Publication number: 20070281714
Abstract: Determining the location of a radio tag or client station of a wireless network, and the location of coverage holes by receiving from a plurality of wireless stations of the wireless network path loss information of the path loss of one or more location frames received at the respective wireless stations. The location frames transmitted by the radio tag or client station having a pre-defined frame structure. The radio tags and client stations use a common infrastructure for transmitting a location frame configured for radiolocation by path loss measurement. The common infrastructure includes a pre-defined protocol common for both radio tags and client stations for transmitting information for reception by the plurality of stations of the wireless network for radiolocation. The pre-defined protocol includes using the location frame having the pre-defined frame structure.

  • Patent number: 7158585
Abstract: Systems and methods for estimating channel response in the presence of interference. Interference and/or noise present on received training symbols is estimated. Based on the measured noise and/or interference, a weighting among training symbols is developed. Channel response is then estimated based on a weighted least squares procedure.

  • Publication number: 20060198310
Abstract: A convergent network comprising voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) and voice over wireless local area networks (VoWLAN) telephones provides users the means for notifying a network administrator of a quality problem in real time together with an indication of the nature problem. Upon receipt of the notification, the system takes a snap shot of the current network parameters that are associated with the quality problem and provides network statistics for subsequent analysis and troubleshooting. Other callers participating in a call are notified of the source of the quality problem. In other embodiments, when streaming video or audio users detect a network quality problem, the problem is marked and tagged to indicate the time and the type of quality problem as it is occurring.
