  • Publication number: 20240155204
Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to providing notifications regarding events that may interrupt content being rendered at an interface. The notifications can be preemptive and/or can indicate a predicted time and/or source for the events. The event can be, for example, a person attempting to contact a user who is viewing content at a display interface. The person can be associated with a food delivery that has been ordered by the user via a delivery application. An application, such an automated assistant application, can predict when the person is expected to arrive with the food delivery, and generate a notification ahead of the person arriving. In some implementations, the notification can be rendered at a scrubber user interface (UI) at a location corresponding to the time that the food delivery is expected to arrive, thereby putting the user on notice of when the streaming content may be interrupted.

  • Publication number: 20240154417
Abstract: Disclosed techniques relate to orchestrating power consumption reductions across a number of hosts. Power consumption of power-drawing devices (e.g., hosts, servers, etc.) may be monitored with respect to a power threshold. When the current power consumption corresponding to those devices breaches the power threshold, or at any suitable time, the system may identify a set of reduction actions configured to reduce aggregate power consumption. The power threshold may be updated dynamically based on the operational status of related systems and environmental factors. A number of response levels may be utilized, each having an association to a corresponding set of reduction actions. The impact to customers, hosts, and/or workloads can be computed at run time based on current conditions and workloads, and a particular response level can be selected based on the computed impact. These techniques enable a sufficient, but least impactful response to be employed.

  • Publication number: 20240154415
Abstract: Disclosed techniques relate to orchestrating power consumption reductions across a number of hosts. A current value for an aggregate power threshold of a plurality of hosts may be identified. During a first time period, an aggregate power consumption of the plurality of hosts may be managed using the current value for the aggregate power threshold. A triggering event indicating a modification to the aggregate power threshold is needed may be detected. A new value for the aggregate power threshold may be determined based on the triggering event. During a second time period, the aggregate power consumption of the plurality of hosts may be managed using the new value for the aggregate power threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240151544
Abstract: The technology involves pullover maneuvers for vehicles operating in an autonomous driving mode. A vehicle operating in an autonomous driving mode is able to identify parking locations that may be occluded or otherwise not readily visible. A best case estimation for any potential parking locations, including partially or fully occluded areas, is compared against predictions for identified visible parking locations. This can include calculating a cost for each potential parking location and comparing that cost to a baseline cost. Upon determining that an occluded location would provide a more viable option than any visible parking locations, the vehicle is able to initiate a driving adjustment (e.g., slow down) prior to arriving at the occluded location. This enables the vehicle to minimize passenger discomfort while also providing notice to other road users of an intent to pull over.

  • Publication number: 20240152654
Abstract: A node associated with an organization may receive a storage identifier for new credit data associated with an individual. A distributed ledger and distributed data sources may be used to share the new credit data with a network of nodes. The node may update a smart contract with the storage identifier for the new credit data. The node may receive, from a particular device associated with the organization, a request for the new credit data. The node may obtain the storage identifier for the new credit data from the smart contract. The node may obtain the new credit data by using the storage identifier to search the distributed data sources. The node may provide the new credit data to the particular device. The node may perform actions to obtain additional new credit data from the distributed data sources or provide the additional new credit data to the distributed data sources.

  • Patent number: 11972307
Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to an automated assistant that can be invoked while a user is interfacing with a foreground application in order to retrieve data from one or more different applications, and then provide the retrieved data to the foreground application. A user can invoke the automated assistant while operating the foreground application by providing a spoken utterance, and the automated assistant can select one or more other applications to query based on content of the spoken utterance. Application data collected by the automated assistant from the one or more other applications can then be used to provide an input to the foreground application. In this way, the user can bypass switching between applications in the foreground in order to retrieve data that has been generated by other applications.

  • Publication number: 20240126063
Abstract: A fluorescence microscopy inspection system includes light sources able to emit light that causes a specimen to fluoresce and light that does not cause a specimen to fluoresce. The emitted light is directed through one or more filters and objective channels towards a specimen. A ring of lights projects light at the specimen at an oblique angle through a darkfield channel. One of the filters may modify the light to match a predetermined bandgap energy associated with the specimen and another filter may filter wavelengths of light reflected from the specimen and to a camera. • Publication number: 20240127367
Abstract: A crop prediction system performs various machine learning operations to predict crop production and to identify a set of farming operations that, if performed, optimize crop production. The crop prediction system uses crop prediction models trained using various machine learning operations based on geographic and agronomic information. Responsive to receiving a request from a grower, the crop prediction system can access information representation of a portion of land corresponding to the request, such as the location of the land and corresponding weather conditions and soil composition. The crop prediction system applies one or more crop prediction models to the access information to predict a crop production and identify an optimized set of farming operations for the grower to perform.
