  • Patent number: 11500916
Abstract: A computer system arranged to determine whether a candidate media-component matches one or more reference media-components is provided. The computer system includes at least one processing device arranged to receive the candidate media-component. The at least one processing device may also include a window generator arranged to select a portion of the candidate media-component; a fingerprint generator arranged to generate a fingerprint from the portion of the candidate media-component selected by the window generator; and a comparator arranged to compare at least some of a candidate's fingerprints within the sequence of candidate fingerprints against fingerprints within the sequences of reference fingerprints. The comparator may assess at least one characteristic of the comparison between the fingerprints within the sequence.

  • Patent number: 11329941
Abstract: An efficient email display is provided. Elements in the email that are determined to be useful or relevant to a particular recipient are displayed and elements that are determined not to be useful or relevant to the recipient are removed from view. A received email is parsed for identifying elements that can be collapsed or expanded when displayed to the recipient. A predetermined value is applied to each element based on the content type. The weight of one or more of the elements is adjusted by applying a weight based on one or more weight factors. A collapsed or expanded display state is assigned to each content element based on the adjusted value. Further, the email message is rendered in the email client application interface to the recipient, where elements having the expanded display state are displayed and elements having the collapsed display state are hidden.

  • Publication number: 20220099525
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring the wear of a pulley. A wear monitor pulley comprises a pulley comprising a curved shell, cylindrical body, and at least one wear monitor affixed to, or embedded in, the pulley, lagging, or backing, wherein the wear monitor transmits information about the pulley through electromagnetic fields. A method comprising affixing at least one wear monitor on a wear monitor pulley, associating information and data about the wear monitor pulley with the at least one wear monitor affixed to the at least one wear monitor pulley, transmitting a signal from the at least one wear monitor using electromagnetic fields from the at least one wear monitor to a wear monitor reader, reading the signal sent by the at least one wear monitor with the wear monitor reader, and determining whether the at least one wear monitor has sent the signal.

  • Patent number: 10820064
Abstract: A method for marking video media-content, comprising a plurality of frames, with a user ID. The method includes arranging a media-delivery platform to have a plurality of target devices connected thereto and further arranging the media-delivery platform to deliver the video media-content to a specified target device of the target devices, at which the user ID is being used. An image is overlaid over at least some frames of the plurality of frames as the video media-content is displayed at the specified target device. The image encodes the User ID and comprises a plurality of zones, the zones being arranged to encode the User ID. A visual property of the image is arranged to vary within at least some of the zones, and the image is arranged such that when the image is overlaid on the video media content, the image is at least substantially imperceptible to a user.

  • Patent number: 9848216
Abstract: A method of securing and/or tracing video media-content which comprises a plurality of frames, the method comprising, receiving at least one candidate media-content which has been determined to have a fingerprint substantially the same as a reference fingerprint generated for the video media-content, processing the candidate media-content after comparison with the video media-content used to generate the reference fingerprint to temporally align the candidate media-content to identify which frames contain the unique identifier; and extracting the unique identifier from the identified frames within the or each candidate video media-content to identify the user ID held within the unique identifier.

  • Patent number: 9533832
Abstract: A misaligned belt sensing apparatus determines when a conveyor belt becomes misaligned, indicating repair or replacement are required. At least one sensing apparatus is placed nearly in contact with the belt which produces heat due to friction between the belt and the apparatus when it comes in contact with same due to misalignment. The sensed temperature is compared to threshold values and indicates when the conveyor belt has become misaligned, as well as determining operational wear status of the sensing apparatus after a number of such misalignments. Each heat sensing apparatus comprises at least one thermally conductive plate where a moving misaligned belt rubs against the thermally conductive plate and generates heat due to friction between the moving belt and the thermally conductive plate, where each plate has one or more independent temperature sensing elements for misalignment detection and indication, also detecting wear status of the plates of the apparatus.
