  • Patent number: 11911949
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to methods and apparatus involving the extrusion of polymers or other materials. As may be implemented in accordance with various embodiments, a polymer is delivered into an inlet of a nozzle structure having the inlet and an outlet. The polymer is viscously heated and melted by rotating the nozzle structure about an axis extending through the inlet and the outlet, therein facilitating extrusion of the melted polymer through the nozzle structure outlet. A polymer supply may deliver the polymer into the nozzle structure inlet, and a coupler may facilitation rotation of the nozzle structure. A driver may further operate to control rotation of the nozzle structure relative to the coupler, for instance by generating a rotational output that causes rotation of the nozzle structure.

  • Publication number: 20230405321
Abstract: Presented herein are systems, methods, and techniques related to delivery of simulated flavor sensations to a user while consuming (e.g., eating, drinking) food items. The perception of flavor is a multisensory experience as it involves not only taste, but other sensory experiences such as sight, sound, smell, and touch. Delivery of one or more sensory experiences to a user as the user is consuming a food item is able to augment how the user experiences the food item's flavor. For example, changing a smell or color a food item has affects how users perceive it when being consumed Changing perceptions through stimulating various senses can alter expectations significantly and in unexpected ways when delivering or combining stimuli. Accordingly in some embodiments, the present disclosure provides for technologies (e.g., device(s), systems and/or method(s)) for delivering simulated flavor sensations while consuming food items (e.g., solid food items, a beverage).

  • Publication number: 20230351004
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for managing identifying information are described. A software platform (e.g., a wallet) may access an application to update a credential based on an integration parameter for the software platform, which may correspond to how the software platform may access the application. For example, the software platform may receive a request (e.g., from a user) to update the credential. The software platform may identify an association between the software platform and the application. Based on the association between the software platform and the application, the software platform may determine an integration parameter available to the software platform for communicating with the application. The software platform may access the application based on the integration parameter, for example using authentication information stored at the software platform, and update the credential associated with the application.

  • Patent number: 9639058
Abstract: A timepiece may include a movable case that may rotate approximately 180 degrees with respect to a first link and a second link. The case may include a first pair of tracks and a second pair of tracks that may be provided on opposite sides of the case. A first link and a second link may each slidably engage both the first pair of tracks and the second pair of tracks, so that the case may rotate 360 degrees about the first link and the second link.

  • Patent number: 8868651
Abstract: Populating users of a web community into groups. The users may be assigned to, or otherwise associated with, one or more groups in response to an event associated with the user, with another user, with a group, or other type of event. The users may also be removed from a group in response to an event. The population of users into groups can be controlled by a configurable set of rules. These rules can include criteria for associating a user with, or removing a user from, a group in response to an event. The criteria can include criteria based on user information and criteria based on group information. The users may be related to one another in a hierarchical structure.

  • Patent number: 8146381
Abstract: A system for providing an infusion chamber provides a clip assembly for attachment within a drinking vessel. A box assembly contains an infusion chamber and may be attached to the clip assembly. The box assembly has a top swinging lid to accept dry ice and other materials suitable for infusion. The bottom of the box assembly features a communication void or slot at the bottom of the box to allow the contents of the box assembly to mix with the surrounding drink, but yet not fall loose into the drink. The clip features contoured adhesive wedges to assist in attachment of the clip to the inside portions of a drinking container. The clip assembly has a thin stop tab or shelf that fits into the box assembly. A side hook from the box assembly is supported by the lower portion of the stop tab or shelf of the clip assembly. The upper or top side of the stop tab or shelf is trapped by a stop tab of the box assembly.

  • Patent number: 7272950
Abstract: A novelty enclosure for trapping dry ice in a drinking glass. The novelty enclosure includes a fixed portion, a replaceable portion, and apparatus. The fixed portion is positioned within—and is attached to—the bowl of the drinking glass, and traps the dry ice. The replaceable portion is replaceably attached to the fixed portion allowing the fixed portion to be filled with the dry ice. The apparatus allows the fixed portion and/or the replaceable portion to permit vapor from the dry ice to rise there through and up through and out of the drink giving an illusion of a witches brew.
