  • Patent number: 7290808
Abstract: A door handle assembly attachable to a door. The door handle assembly includes a handle coupled to the door and a latch bolt coupled to the handle and movable along a latch bolt axis between an extended position and a retracted position. An attachment member defines an attachment axis. The attachment member is movable relative to the handle between a first position and a second position.

  • Patent number: 6854306
Abstract: A throw member having a first and second hub located along a blade that couples the rotation of the core cylinder with the rotation of the key cam of a lock chassis to lock and unlock a lock assembly. The two hubs are spaced apart to receive a catch. The catch constrains the throw member from releasing when the core cylinder or door lever is exchanged or modified. In addition, the two hubs enhance the throw member's ability to prevent unauthorized removal of the door lever. One of the two hubs includes a passage to release the throw member from the catch.

  • Patent number: 6698803
Abstract: A door latching mechanism includes a slide housed within a frame adapted for sliding motion of the slide within the frame and a spindle rotatably mounted to the frame and adapted to move the slide between a retracted and an extended position. A void is defined between an exterior surface of the frame and an interior surface of a cover housing the frame and the slide. An insert includes wings, which extend into the void and are positioned on opposite sides of the slide from each other.

  • Patent number: 6568725
Abstract: A lock chassis including a chassis housing having two substantially identical housing halves. The housing halves mate to form the housing when oriented 180° relative to each other. The housing halves include sidewalls having a lateral face positioned to abut the opposite housing half when the housing halves are coupled together. The housing is secured by lugs that mate with pockets in the lateral face of the sidewall of the opposite housing half and screws which extend through apertures in one housing half and into threaded holes in the lateral face of the sidewall of the opposite housing half.
