  • Patent number: 8893733
Abstract: A dental flossing device comprising a handle and a floss holder. The floss holder comprises a base portion and a pair of spaced-apart arms accommodating dental floss therebetween. The floss holder has greater flexibility in a direction laterally perpendicular to the direction of the length of said length of dental floss than in the direction of the floss itself. This flexibility is provided either by incorporating at least one convoluted section into either the base portion or the pair of spaced-apart arms of the floss holder, or by providing either the base portion or the pair of spaced-apart arms with a reduced cross sectional dimension in the lateral direction generally perpendicular to the floss than in the direction generally parallel to the floss, or by means of a groove in the neck by which the floss holder is attached to the handle.

  • Patent number: 8032072
Abstract: A method for recording a clean broadcast free of background, such as fade-ins and fade-outs on a receiver includes providing program data associated with an upcoming broadcast, the broadcast being selected by a broadcaster, on the receiver to describe the upcoming broadcast to a user. The receiver records the upcoming broadcast to an internal memory of the receiver in response to either the broadcast being automatically selected based on the user's preferences or the user manually selecting the upcoming broadcast. Start and stop commands, independent of any manual input, are received by the receiver to begin and end the recording of the clean broadcast.

  • Publication number: 20070213884
Abstract: The system includes a controller, a portable media reader, and an input device. The controller is in communication with the portable media reader and the input device. The controller detects when a particular portable media is inserted into the portable media reader for a first time. When the controller detects the initial insertion of the portable media, the controller records a macro. As the user configures the system, user input is recorded by the macro. The controller is configured to play the macro when the portable media is subsequently loaded into the portable media player.
