  • Publication number: 20160161188
Abstract: A technique facilitates removal of heat. The technique involves moving a process fluid through a buffer tank which is combined with a heat exchange system. The heat exchange system includes a conduit carrying a coolant fluid which removes excess heat from a heat source. The conduit is routed to the buffer tank so that the cooler process fluid moving through the buffer tank is able to remove heat from the coolant fluid before it is routed back to the heat source for continued heat removal. In a well application, for example, a heat source, e.g. an electric motor, may be located on a transport vehicle and cooled by the coolant fluid. The heat transferred to the coolant fluid from the heat source is removed by routing the coolant fluid through the conduit associated with the buffer tank. This enables the cooler process fluid in the buffer tank to be used in lowering the temperature of the coolant fluid.

  • Publication number: 20150273419
Abstract: A system for producing a wellbore fluid including a process fluid source, a rotating apparatus, and a motor directly coupled to the rotating apparatus. The motor is configured to receive a coolant and transfer heat from the motor to the coolant. The rotating apparatus is configured to receive process fluid from the process fluid source and mix the process fluid received from the process fluid source with one or more additives to produce a wellbore fluid.

  • Publication number: 20150275891
Abstract: A pump assembly that includes a crankshaft having main journals and crankpin journals, rods operatively coupled with the crankpin journals, reciprocating members operatively coupled with the rods, and an electric motor operable to rotate the crankshaft. The electric motor includes a stator and a rotor. The rotor is directly connected with the crankshaft and is operable to rotate the crankshaft to move the plurality of rods and reciprocating members to move a fluid.

  • Publication number: 20150240148
Abstract: A substantially continuous stream of aqueous fluid and a substantially continuous stream of gel having a first concentration are combined to form a substantially continuous stream of gel having a second concentration. The second concentration is substantially lower than the first concentration. The gel having the second concentration may thereafter be utilized in conjunction with a well fracturing operation.

  • Publication number: 20140274557
Abstract: An apparatus and methods for testing and pumping through a well servicing system are provided. The apparatus includes a drive mechanism and an actuation system. The actuation system is coupled to the drive mechanism for selectively engaging the drive mechanism to a drive train of the well servicing system's pumping equipment for pressure testing and low rate pumping of the well servicing system without using the primary mover of the pumping equipment. A method for hydrostatic pressure testing of the well servicing system includes putting a transmission of the drive train into neutral and containing the well servicing system, then engaging the drive mechanism to the drive train and activating the drive mechanism to drive the drive train for pumping and compressing test fluid into the well servicing system without using the primary mover.

  • Publication number: 20130248182
Abstract: A mobile manifold assembly of a fluid system for providing fluid to a wellsite during well construction. The fluid system includes auxiliary components including at least one fluid source, mixer and high pressure pump. The manifold assembly includes a modular manifold and a mobile frame. The modular manifold includes manifold pumps, valves and pipes integrated together for transport. Connector portions of the pipes extend from the modular manifold in an arrangement corresponding to an arrangement of the auxiliary components to define a plug-in configuration therebetween such that the connector portions of the pipes are positionable in alignment with the auxiliary components for direct and removable connection therewith. The manifold pumps and valves are positioned about the pipes to selectively pump the fluid. The modular manifold is securable to a base of the mobile frame whereby the modular manifold is transportable to the auxiliary components for operable connection therewith.
