  • Patent number: 8281814
Abstract: A water supply valve cartridge in which a flow rate control rotary disk has a reduced size, so that surface friction between the flow rate control rotary disk and a flow rate control fixed disk is minimized, thus improving manipulation efficiency of the water supply valve while opening or closing the valve, and which does not sensitively respond to flatness allowance due to the reduced size of the rotary disk, thus executing stable opening and closing operation. The flow rate control fixed disk (140) has water discharge holes (142). The flow rate control rotary disk (150) has a diameter to cover only the area around the water discharge holes (142), with a pair of flow rate control grooves (151) formed on the rotary disk (150) to open only the water discharge holes (142) during rotation.

  • Publication number: 20120085955
Abstract: The present invention relates to a water valve. More particularly, the present invention relates to a water valve having a valve cartridge for controlling the temperature and flow of supplied hot/cold water, wherein a discharge path is blocked, or a direct water path or a shower path is selected and the amount of water flow is controlled, by changing the direction of rotation in a flow control section. The present invention can exert various functions through a simple structure and operation, as the water valve can be turned on or off, a direct water path or a shower path can be selected, and the flow of the selected path can be controlled, through manipulation of a flow control unit. In addition, the present invention has a simple structure and is easily installed by combining a water valve and a nozzle head.

  • Patent number: 7861742
Abstract: A cartridge of a water supply valve that controls the flow rate and temperature of water without causing interference between flow rate control operation and temperature control operation of the valve. In the cartridge, a flow rate control knob (12) angularly moves forwards and rearwards and actuates a control lever (14) to open or close cold and hot water supply holes (1a and 1b). A temperature control knob (13) is coupled to the flow rate control knob (12), linearly moves leftwards and rightwards, and actuates the control lever (14) to control the opening ratios of the water supply holes. Thus, this cartridge does not change the existing temperature of water during flow rate control operation or change the existing flow rate of water during temperature control operation. This invention reduces the quantity of water to be unnecessarily wasted and, at the same time, prevents undesirable consumption of excessive energy.

  • Patent number: 6961656
Abstract: In an apparatus and a method for indicating initial distance to empty (DTE) at completion of fueling, the initial DTE is calculated based on a fluctuating fuel consumption rate and is compensated by a compensation value so that DTE can be determined with more accuracy compared with an initial DTE calculated based on the fixed fuel consumption rate. The DTE to be confirmed can be thereby prevented from abruptly changing.
