Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing the QoS of AV streams is disclosed, in which a period for processing AV streams to provide the QoS of the AV streams is separately assigned at a predetermined time, and a plurality of AV streams are simultaneously processed. The apparatus includes a determination unit that identifies the type of input data, a TDMA scheduler that assigns time division periods for processing the AV streams and general data during a predetermined recurring time period in accordance with the identification result, a buffer that stores the AV streams and the general data in memory areas corresponding to the assigned time division periods, and an output port that extracts and outputs the AV streams and the general data stored in the buffer in a FIFO manner.
