The control unit is installed through the side end of the door, which is deviated from a user's line of sight.

Abstract: A direct cooling refrigerator having a circulation duct. The direct cooling refrigerator includes a cabinet, an inner case arranged in the cabinet and having an inlet and an outlet, a circulation duct coupled to the inner case at the outside of the inner case and having a suction port communicating with the outlet and a discharge port communicating with the inlet, and a fan to move air from the suction port to the discharge port within the circulation duct. The inlet is located at an upper wall of the inner case so as to be located closer to a front surface of the inner case than a rear wall of the inner case, and the outlet is located at the rear wall of the inner case so as to be located close to a lower wall of the inner case.

Abstract: A refrigerator having a sub door which reduces energy loss and a method of manufacturing method the sub door. The refrigerator includes a main body provided with storage chambers formed therein, doors opening and closing the storage chambers, and provided with an opening, a sub door to open and close the opening, and a cooling unit provided on the rear surface of the sub door. When the sub door is opened, cool air of the cooling unit is transmitted to a stored article put on the rear surface of the sub door, and when the sub door is closed, relatively uniform temperature distribution in the storage chamber is achieved and thus storage performance of the refrigerator is improved.

Abstract: A kimchi refrigerator includes an evaporator surrounding a storage chamber in contact with an outer surface of the storage chamber; a basket received in the storage chamber to receive at least one container storing kimchi, and taken in and out of the storage chamber according to the opening and closing operation of the door; and an auxiliary cooling member surface-contacting a front outer surface of the basket, which is adjacent to the evaporator. The auxiliary cooling member is made of a high thermal-conductivity material so that high inner temperature of the storage chamber is efficiently transferred, accordingly reducing the temperature deviation.
