Abstract: Disclosed is a multichannel signal receiver which comprises: a descrambler for descrambling scrambled digital satellite broadcasting signals; a signal receiver for receiving and outputting a broadcasting signal; a signal output unit for demultiplexing and demodulating the broadcasting signal, and outputting audio and video signals; a common interface controller for checking whether the broadcasting signal is a paid or a free signal, outputting the broadcasting signal to the signal output unit when the broadcasting signal is a free signal, and outputting the broadcasting signal to the descrambler and outputting the descrambled broadcasting signal to the signal output unit when the broadcasting signal is a paid signal; and a host CPU for controlling the signal receiver, the common interface controller and the signal output unit.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a turntable brake for a disc player capable of preventing a turntable from rotating when a disc is improperly loaded on the turntable. In accordance with the invention, the turntable brake which employs first and second magnets is provided. When the disc is correctly loaded on the turntable, two magnets are directly contacted with each other, thereby permitting the rotation of the turntable. When the disc is improperly loaded on the turntable, two magnets are separated from each other, thereby preventing the turntable from rotating.
