Abstract: An electrode for a fluidizable bed coating apparatus comprising a plurality of electrically conductive tubes and a tube carrier. The tubes extend from the carrier and have free ends at which there is a concentration in intensity of an electric field when the tubes are connected into an electric circuit, and the tubes channel fluidizing gas through them and through the concentrations in intensity of the electric field.

Abstract: A device for filling the interstices of a multi-stranded cable with powder, comprising an outer tubular housing and a concentric inner tube with an annular chamber therebetween for moving powder filler from an inlet to the outlet end of the device. Air is deliverable under pressure to the outlet end of the device to disperse the powder as a cloud.

Abstract: A device for filling the interstices of multi-stranded cable with powder, comprising an outer cylindrical housing and a concentric inner tube with an annular chamber between them. The tube at one end carries a coaxial impeller located at the outlet end portion of the housing. Powder is fed into the chamber and a helical screw pushes the powder onto the impeller which is rotated to distribute the powder onto conductors passing from a strander around the device and into a closing die.

Abstract: Apparatus for receiving and conveying a plurality of different powders simultaneously and delivering the powders continuously as a blended mix, in which a number of concentric tubes define annular bores carrying helical screw members driven at one end for axial rotation. At the delivery end the tubes are progressively inset from the outermost tube to the innermost tube. A core in the innermost tube defines the annular bore therein and is expanded diametrically at the delivery end of each tube to extend the annular bore to the end of that tube with the pitch of the helical screw member of that tube being increased over the expanded portion of the core to the end of the tube. Preferably the tubes, the helical screw members and the bore are laterally flexible.
