Publication number: 20240171798Abstract: Methods, systems, and machine-readable media for adapting content composites to device operations of an endpoint media device are disclosed. Blockchain data associated with a blockchain address may be processed by one or more processing devices. The blockchain data and/or the blockchain address may be mapped by the one or more processing devices to a first endpoint media device. Based at least in part on the blockchain data, a first content composite may be identified by one or more processing devices for delivery from a content provider system via one or more networks to the first endpoint media device. Transmission of the first content composite may be caused where, consequent to delivery of the first content composite to the first endpoint media device, the first endpoint media device or a second endpoint media device performs at least one operation relating to the first content composite.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2024Publication date: May 23, 2024Inventors: Jorg Nonnenmacher, Robert Drew Major

Publication number: 20240171628Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media for adapting content items to device operations of an endpoint media device are disclosed. A first content composite may be created by one or more processing devices for delivery in a packet stream from a content provider system via one or more networks, where the first content composite may include an adaptable content item corresponding to a set of one or more audio and/or video packets corresponding to audio and/or video content. The first content composite may be transmitted, where, consequent to delivery of the first content composite to a first endpoint media device or a second endpoint media device, the first endpoint media device or the second endpoint media device may perform one operation relating to a second content item of the first content composite, where the adaptable content item may be modified based on the second content item.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 22, 2024Publication date: May 23, 2024Applicant: DISH Network L.L.C.Inventors: Robert Estus, Kate Megan Carney Landow, Jorg Nonnenmacher

Patent number: 11895174Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media for facilitating the following operations are disclosed. A first content composite that is configured with a containerization object may be transmitted. The containerization object may be configured with one or both of containerization specifications and a container flag to facilitate performance of operations by an endpoint media device with respect to the first content composite. The first content composite may include a set of one or more audio and/or video packets corresponding to audio and/or video content. One or more communications corresponding to one or more indications of one or more detected operations associated with the endpoint media device may be received consequent to the endpoint media device performing the operations. Based at least in part on the one or more communications, a set of observation data mapped to the endpoint media device and the first content composite may be aggregated.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2022Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: DISH Network L.L.C.Inventors: Robert Estus, Kate Megan Carney Landow, Jorg Nonnenmacher

Publication number: 20230345063Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media for audio/video recognition and adaptive packet transmission are disclosed. A first content item that includes audio content and video content may be received and processed to detect a set of one or more video characteristics and/or a set of one or more audio characteristics that may be analyzed to identify the first content item as corresponding to a service provider system. The first content item may be transferred for display with an endpoint media device. At least one electronic signal may be received and processed, the at least one electronic signal indicative of execution of at least one operation of a set of one or more operations relating to one or more images of the first content item consequent to the display of the first content with the endpoint media device.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 11, 2023Publication date: October 26, 2023Inventors: Jorg Nonnenmacher, Kate Megan Carney Landow

Publication number: 20050091378Abstract: The invention is a method for using mobile code such as an applet to conduct quality of service measurements of network paths in client applications such as web browsers. A client computer downloads the mobile code from a base server as well as a list of target host URLs from the base server. When executed, the mobile code accesses each of the target URLs and measures quality of service (QoS) data such as round-trip time, delays, loss of packets, etc. for each URL. The mobile code compiles this QoS data and transmits it back to the base server for processing and analysis. The base server may then transmit a second set of target URLs, which set may be generated randomly, previously selected, or selected based upon the QoS data received from the mobile code. In addition, the client may use the QoS measurements to determine which of the target URLs represents the better or best path of communications for the client, and may re-establish communications over that path accordingly.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 12, 2004Publication date: April 28, 2005Inventor: Jorg Nonnenmacher
