  • Patent number: 7717070
Abstract: The present invention provides engine-cooling module assemblies. One engine-cooling assembly includes an engine block and a cooling module including a coolant channel integrated into the engine block. Parallel to the coolant channel is a bypass channel integrated in the engine block and through which a portion of a coolant stream is conducted to an oil/coolant heat exchanger. The present invention also provides a method for cooling oil circulating in an oil circuit of an engine by means of a coolant. The coolant runs through a coolant channel that is formed of both a portion of the engine block and a portion of the cooling module.

  • Publication number: 20090139482
Abstract: In oil pump cover for a motor vehicle oil pump is provided that includes, but is not limited to a cover for covering a part of the motor vehicle oil pump. The oil pump cover further includes, but is not limited to an oil suction channel which can be connected to the interior of the motor vehicle oil pump. The oil suction channel is designed in one piece with the cover. The oil suction channel is designed in such a manner that a suction opening for suction of oil in the built-in state is disposed adjacent to a lower base of an oil pan. Manufacture and assembly is simplified through this simplified one-piece structure of the oil pump cover.

  • Publication number: 20070227474
Abstract: The subject of the present invention concerns an engine-cooling radiator module assembly (1), an engine block (3), a radiator module (9) and a method for cooling an oil circulating in an oil circuit of an engine by means of a coolant. The coolant runs through a coolant channel which is formed both in the engine block (3) and in the radiator module (9). Parallel to the coolant channel there is a bypass channel (2) through which a partial coolant stream is conducted—parallel to a partial coolant stream flowing through the engine block (3)—to an oil/coolant heat exchanger (8). The radiator module (9) is at least partially integrated in the engine.
