  • Publication number: 20240147631
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for making and using highly sustainable circuit assemblies are disclosed herein. In various aspects, the highly sustainable circuit assembly includes a substrate layer; and a pattern of contact points supported by the substrate layer. The pattern of contact points can be configured to correspond to at least one terminal of an electrical component. The pattern of contact points can include a deformable conductive material. The deformable conductive material can be a non-hazardous, readily reclaimable, readily recyclable material.

  • Publication number: 20240097319
Abstract: An electronic device may include a first set of antennas, a second set of antennas, and a slip ring disposed between the first set of antennas and the second set of antennas. The slip ring may include a waveguide that provides a pathway for signals transmitted between the first set of and the second set of antennas. A diameter and a length of the waveguide may enable efficient transmission of the signals between the sets of antennas by reducing signal attenuation. Additionally, gaps between the sets of antennas and the slip ring may be sized to reduce radiation emitted from the electronic device. The gaps between the sets of antennas and the slip ring may enable wireless data transfer between the sets of antennas.

  • Patent number: 6891148
Abstract: A scaling device projects a known optical pattern into the field of view of a camera, which can be employed as a reference scale in a resulting photograph of a remote object, for example. The device comprises an optical beam projector that projects two or more spaced, parallel optical beams onto a surface of a remotely located object to be photographed. The resulting beam spots or lines on the object are spaced from one another by a known, predetermined distance. As a result, the size of other objects or features in the photograph can be determined through comparison of their size to the known distance between the beam spots. Preferably, the device is a small, battery-powered device that can be attached to a camera and employs one or more laser light sources and associated optics to generate the parallel light beams. In a first embodiment of the invention, a single laser light source is employed, but multiple parallel beams are generated thereby through use of beam splitting optics.
