Abstract: A system including a management application and a satellite container. The management application is configured to manage workload operations of a customer computer cluster and a plurality of third-party compute systems. The satellite container and a customer computer cluster are on a customer network. Further, the satellite container is configured to: provide configuration data of the local computer cluster and authorization data to the management application; provide a first data request to the management application; receive workload data from the management application in response to the first data request; and convey the workload data from the satellite to the local computer cluster. The management application is outside the customer network.

Abstract: An authentication method including operation of a personal token, a personal token for a terminal in a communication network, an authentication server, and a computer program for an authentication server. The secure server producing derived key material on the basis of a random and a secret key (K), said personal token including program instructions for re-computing the derived key material (Ck, Ik) on the basis of the received random and the secret key (K) as stored in the personal token. The personal token includes program instructions for using a re-computed part of the derived key material in order to interpret the received additional data.

Abstract: The services of an HTTP or HTTPS server, being implemented by or running on a first electronic device, are offered to a second electronic device by exchanging HTTP messages between the first electronic device and the second electronic device over a communication channel according to the Bearer Independent Protocol. An application running on the second electronic device can use the TCP/IP protocol for exchanging HTTP messages with the server A gateway is employed on the second electronic device, which manages the communication channel and which performs protocol conversion Bearer Independent Protocol—TCP/IP for messages received from the application running on the second electronic device, and protocol conversion TCP/IP—Bearer Independent Protocol for messages being sent to the server.

Abstract: Method for monitoring the usage of a service by a communication device coupled to a tamper resistant module, in particular a smart card. A said service is transmitted from a resource able to communicate with said communication device by way of a network. The service comprises a plurality of encrypted data flow and its use comprises successive decryption steps of data flow by a respective first key EK, said first key EK being encrypted in the data flow and decrypted in the tamper resistant module by way of a second key KEK stored in said tamper resistant module or derived inside said module. The invention is characterized in that said method comprises the following steps: a. A counting step, in which a memory location stores a count of occurrences of decryption steps of said first key EK attached to a same service; b. A using step, in which said counter is used to prove the amount of data flow which has been decrypted.

Abstract: The invention deals with database synchronization. A first database is stored in a removable device for example a smartcard communicating with a first system. A second database of the same nature being stored in a second system communication with said first system. Said first and second system comprises means able to generate synchronization objects defining the last database synchronization which has been performed between said two databases of said two systems. After each synchronization step of the first database with the second database, a program external to the removable device sends a command to the removable device forsetting a synchronization object to said first database, said synchronization object being also affected to the second database which has been synchronized.
