  • Patent number: 5790944
Abstract: For measuring gain error in a receiver of a base station of a cellular system and for improving field strength measurement, a signal received by the base station is measured before and after a receiver unit. The power level is corrected after the receiver unit to correspond to the power level of the signal determined before the receiver unit. For this purpose, before the receiver unit an accurate detector of the power level of the signal is provided, the power level of the signal detected by the detector being compared to the power level measured after the receiver.

  • Patent number: 4717285
Abstract: The invention concerns a cistern structure intended to be used as a subterranean cistern. The shell of the cistern has been formed of a material impermeable to the substance to be stored therein. The shell of the cistern has been encircled with mutually spaced annular juncture elements (13). The juncture elements (13) have been provided with anchoring elements (14) by the aid of which the cistern has been anchored in the rock or soil. The shell of the cistern is supported by a supporting layer in concrete construction, and the shell consists of sheet steel (12). The shell of the cistern is advantageously composed of element-designed components (11). The element-designed components (11) one upon the other have been joined to become a compound structure, with the aid of a juncture element (13). The juncture element (13) is advantageously a concrete ring cast on site.

  • Patent number: 4695188
Abstract: The present invention concerns a rock cistern or tunnel. The inner surface of the wall structure of the rock cistern is a tightly sealing lining. The supporting layer consists of a steel-reinforced water-tight sprayed concrete layer. Between the blasted rock surface and steel-reinforced water-tight sprayed concrete layer there is a sprayed concrete layer permeable to water, serving as a groundwater-conducting layer. In the sprayed concrete layer permeable to water, subdrain pipes have been placed. The tightly sealing lining consists of plastic, steel, fibre concrete or equivalent.

  • Patent number: 4444529
Abstract: A bolt-like fixing assembly for use in improving the strength and/or stability characteristics of rock structure, such as for reinforcing rocks, includes an elongate structure one end of which is adapted to be fixed within a bore formed in a rock and a device for fixing the other end of the elongate structure to the surface of the rock. According to aspects of the invention, the elongate structure is constituted of at least two rod-like members and a fixing device of the elongate structure is constituted by a wedge-shaped member and a bearing plate, such as a washer. The elongate structure is preferably constituted of three rod-like members, each of which preferably is constituted of a bulb steel rod.
