  • Publication number: 20220325695
Abstract: The invention relates to a control method for controlling an offshore floating tower wind turbine and to various systems and a wind turbine that use said method. The invention is mainly based on the control of the pitch angle of the blades of the wind turbine by means of power levels different from rated power, depending on the movement conditions to which the wind turbine is subjected at sea, and for above rated operating conditions wind speed. Owing to the described method, the invention allows the movements experienced by the wind turbine to be reduced, using the energy performance thereof more efficiently, without detriment to the service life thereof.

  • Publication number: 20220227465
Abstract: Methods for the maintenance of a marine structure having a wind turbine and at least one essentially vertical shaft are described. The methods include the use of an auxiliary floating system having: at least one floating element that remains semisubmerged throughout the process of maintaining the marine structure; at least one coupling structure that connects the system to the floating structure; and contact elements and tightening elements, wherein the contact and tightening elements are secured to the coupling structure and are intended to solidly connect the system to the shaft. Advantageously, this solid connection allows operations for the maintenance of the marine structure to be carried out in a manner that is efficient and safe for maintenance workers and for the systems involved in the operations.

  • Publication number: 20220170220
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the installation of a marine (or in general, aquatic) wind-powered generator tower, wherein said tower advantageously comprises a foundation that is open at the top and equipped with a substantially flat lower slab and a perimeter wall. The method includes, in the different stages thereof, the depositing or removal of ballast material in or from the main cavity of the foundation, and wherein in the absence of said ballast material, the wind-powered generator or the foundation is a floating or self-floating structure. The method is particularly suitable for the installation of wind-powered generators in areas of low depth (or near-shore areas), preferably of less than 15 m.

  • Publication number: 20210394873
Abstract: The invention relates to an operations vessel for the maintenance, installation and/or disassembly of offshore structures, comprising: a hull equipped with ballast means connected to a control system; at least one working platform supported on the hull by means of one or more support elements; and at least one system for coupling to an offshore structure, wherein said coupling system can adopt, at least, a state in which it is coupled to said offshore structure and a state in which it is not coupled to said offshore structure. Advantageously, the control system and the coupling system are configured in a cooperating manner, in order to adopt at least two working positions of the vessel, wherein the hull adopts an above-water state with the coupling system decoupled, and at least a second working position wherein the hull adopts a submerged state in which the coupling system is coupled to the offshore structure.

  • Publication number: 20210222452
Abstract: The invention relates to a movable module and to a method of hoisting telescopic towers, preferably wind turbine towers, an ascending section of the tower being hoisted in relation to a supporting section of the tower immediately outside. The movable module preferably comprises at least one hydraulic jack; at least one hoisting cable pre-installed through the hydraulic jack and which remains connected to the jack throughout the performance of the method of hoisting the telescopic tower; and grouping means arranged at the free end of at least one hoisting cable. Advantageously, during hoisting, the movable module is temporarily fixed to the head of the supporting section, and the grouping means (4) are temporarily fixed to the base of the ascending section.

  • Patent number: 10822765
Abstract: Foundation system for towers, especially for onshore wind turbines, comprising a central shaft buried or partially buried, preferably hollow and formed by dowels made from precast concrete, an essentially flat lower slab and completely buried, and lateral support means in the form of inclined struts that are joined at their upper end with the central shaft and at its lower end with the lower slab, and that are preferably entirely buried. The wind tower is located on the partly buried main shaft. The foundation system may comprise other lower elements connected with the lower slab, such as radial ribs or peripheral beams. The struts are preferably prefabricated elements incorporating an efficient and economical connection system by pre-stressing. The foundation system maximizes the fraction of the weight of the foundation by gravity generated by soil or ballast material, allowing an important economy in the structural materials of the foundation.

  • Patent number: 10773777
Abstract: The invention relates to an auxiliary floating system for the installation, transport or maintenance of an offshore structure, said structure comprising at least one essentially vertical shaft, wherein said auxiliary floating system comprises: at least one floating element that remains semi-submerged during the process of installing the offshore structure; at least one coupling structure connected to said floating element; and guide elements secured to the coupling structure and in sliding contact with the shaft. Advantageously, the sliding contact between the auxiliary floating system and the shaft is such that it allows essentially horizontal relative movement between the auxiliary floating system and said shaft, such that during the process of installing the offshore structure, said structure sinks while the auxiliary floating system remains at essentially the same level on the surface.

  • Publication number: 20170204836
Abstract: It is foreseen that the footing be executed in an excavation, such that a lower concrete slab (2), with its corresponding steel reinforcement, is obtained at the base of the same, and upon which a plurality of prefabricated partitions (3), likewise of concrete, are radially disposed in the shape of a crown at a prefabricated or executed in situ concrete zone (4), such that the spaces defined between these elements are filled with the material (5) obtained by means of the excavation, in order finally to achieve a total or partial upper slab (1) upon this assembly. In this way, and by means of the inclusion of prefabricated elements, the construction works are simplified, which affects favourably both the time frame of execution and the fabrication costs.

  • Publication number: 20170016242
Abstract: The invention relates to a system having multiple improvements compared to conventional systems for building wind towers made of section of reinforced concrete, in order to significantly reduce building costs. Such improvements include: obtaining a profile extruding from truncated cone sections that conform as much as possible to the ideal curved profile of the tower; using pre-stretched cables, which are factory-tensioned before installing the rebar, and tendons that pass through the arch stones, making it possible to link various arch stones with one another; and reducing the thickness of the arch stones; and arranging the rebar in only one layer, as well as other improvements described through the present invention.
