A mechanism is provided to integrate the electronic wallet platform with a plurality of merchants. Via the electronic wallet platform, a given one of the consumers is afforded an option to select from multiple methods to pay for a transaction with a given one of the merchants. The multiple methods are based, at least in part, on the registration information. At least one of the multiple methods includes a virtual card number. Further steps include obtaining, from the given one of the consumers, a selection of the virtual card number for payment for the transaction; and providing the given one of the merchants with the virtual card number.

Abstract: A method for processing a declined payment transaction using a secondary financial institution includes: receiving a transaction message for a payment transaction from an acquiring institution, the transaction message including a primary account number, transaction amount, institution identifier, and transaction data; calculating a fraud score based on application of fraud algorithms to data included in the transaction message; transmitting the transaction message and fraud score to an issuer; receiving an authorization response from the issuer, the response including a response code indicative of denial of the transaction; identifying a secondary financial institution; modifying the transaction message by replacing the institution identifier with an alternative identifier associated with the secondary financial institution; and transmitting the modified transaction message to the acquiring institution.

Abstract: Local shipping addresses in a first country are assigned to consumers having physical addresses in one or more different countries. In connection with an on-line shopping session at an e-commerce retailer, a request is obtained, from the e-commerce retailer, for a corresponding one of the local shipping addresses; the same is supplied to the e-commerce retailer in response to the request. Product information and an indication of a desired form of shipping from the e-commerce retailer to the local shipping address are obtained; as are an indication of a desired form of shipping from the local shipping address to a corresponding one of the physical addresses. An indication of an estimated fully landed cost associated with the on-line shopping session is dispatched.

Abstract: A transaction qualification service, based on rules from an offers registry database, determines whether at least one promotion code is applicable to an on-line transaction. If so, the at least promotion code is provided to a merchant, prior to payment card authorization, clearing, and settlement for the on-line transaction. The at least one promotion code includes an alphanumeric character sequence that is not visible to the consumer.

Abstract: A handheld apparatus for personal hygiene is described. The apparatus includes a handle having a fluid supply inlet and a fluid supply outlet, and a tube coupled to the fluid supply outlet of the handle to enable the flow of a first fluid through a nozzle coupled to one end of the tube and the flow of a second fluid through an opening on the surface of the tube, wherein the handle enables the user to direct the flow of the fluids to the underside of the user's torso for proper cleansing.
