  • Patent number: 11987287
Abstract: A method for autonomously parking a vehicle-trailer system is provided. The method includes receiving sensor system data from a sensor system supported by the vehicle. The sensor system data includes images of surroundings along a driving path of the vehicle-trailer system. The method includes determining a local map based on the sensor system data. The local map includes surroundings along the driving path. The method includes receiving a user selection of an image location within the images. The image location representing a position in the local map associated with a selected location within the surroundings. The method includes determining a parking path from a current location of the vehicle-trailer system to the position based on the local map and instructing a drive system to execute an autonomous parking behavior causing the vehicle-trailer system to autonomously drive along the parking path and autonomously park in the selected location.

  • Patent number: 11425997
Abstract: A modular rack assembly for wine bottles which is formed from one or more frame members which each have a racking body coupled therewith. Each racking body in the assembly includes a plurality suspension cords which extend from a top portion thereof to a bottom portion thereof, and have a plurality of shelves, bottle holders, or other support mechanisms for receiving and holding a bottle, fixed to and dispersed along the suspension cords vertically. A composite modular rack assembly, formed from two or more side by side modular rack assemblies, may include frame members of at least two distinct widths, and the selection of which racking body will be coupled with each frame member allows for the provision of a wide variety of customized configurations through a limited number of modular component parts.

  • Patent number: 8943664
Abstract: Method of manufacturing “T” shaped stringers (1) with an angle different from 90° between the web (2) and the foot (3) whereby the “T” shaped stringers have a stringer web and a stringer foot. The method comprises, after placing together two hot-formed “L” shaped semi-stringers to form a “T” shaped stringer, placing the “T” shaped stringer inside an invar alloy angle leaving a gap between the stringer web and the invar alloy angle. Afterwards, a heating device (7) is moved over the stringer feet (3) surface and a roller (8) slides over said stringer feet (3) surface to adapt the geometry of the stringer feet to the geometry of the invar alloy angle. The resulting “T” shaped stringer is co-bonded on a cured skin with an adhesive line between the stringer and the cured skin, and finally the obtained “T” shaped stringer is cured.

  • Patent number: 8262516
Abstract: A device is disclosed to improve the accuracy of a sport participant in the kicking or handling of a ball. A first version includes a ball attached by a tether to a vertical pole. The pole and tether limit the ball's freedom and allows the ball to rotate about the pole and return to a trainee after being struck by the trainee. A second version provides a frame mounted on the pole whereby the tether is attached to a top section of the pole. A third version includes a frame that rotates about the pole and may accept a plurality of tether attachments. Another version includes a single or double loop attached to the ball through which the tether extends. Yet another version includes a harness that encircles a ball. The ball may be a soccer ball, a baseball, a volleyball, an American football, a medicine ball or a basketball.

  • Patent number: 6936344
Abstract: A new product is described characterized by its qualities to absorb undesirable scents present in the air, while serving at the same time as a carrier for aromas, fragrances, flavorings, repellents, attractants and other active ingredients. The active ingredients are gradually released by the carrier, which is compatible with the environment and current tendencies towards the use of organic and biodegradable products. The composition comprises a carrier and an active ingredient. The carrier is characterized as being particles obtained from the milling, separation, air wash and classification of the different fractions obtained from corncobs.

  • Patent number: 5869318
Abstract: By means of a new molecular cloning technique designated "Alu-splicing PCR", we have isolated a new gene sequence, DSCR1, located in the 21q22.1-q22.2 region. DSCR1 displays a high expression in brain and heart, coding for a new protein with a proline-rich region and with some structural characteristics typical of a protein involved in transcription and/or in protein-protein interactions. The increase in the transient expression of DSCR1 mRNA in brains of young rats compared with the brains of adult rats suggests an important role of DSCR1 during the development of the central nervous system. The overexpression of pSCR1 may be involved in pathogenic abnormalities of mental retardation and/or heart defects in patients with Down syndrome.
