  • Publication number: 20240079880
Abstract: The present invention relates to an inverter topology with a DC/DC voltage boost converter, which is also scalable. The arrangement of converters and power lines used in this topology makes it possible to maximize the efficiency of the energy conversion that takes place in photovoltaic plants or in any other system based on power transmission that use DC power lines, reducing the values of current used for a given power level. The inverter includes two DC/DC converters connected in parallel to one another and two DC/AC converters connected in parallel to one another. The two DC/DC converters are connected in series with the two DC/AC converters by means of two buses consisting of three DC power lines where one of the DC power lines is common to the two buses.

  • Publication number: 20230327433
Abstract: The present invention refers to a method of intrinsically biasing a dual DC/DC converter by means of an active pre-charging of the internal side of the converter prior to its connection with the batteries and a soft biasing of the batteries after the connection of the converter with the batteries. This has the advantage of having a dual DC/DC converter capable of charging isolated batteries in photovoltaic installations in a pole to ground configuration, eliminating the biasing transient that occurs when connecting the battery by means of passive resistive soft charging to the internal capacitor bus of the DC/DC converter, and also eliminating the biasing transient that occurs when starting the DC/DC converter for its normal operation.

  • Publication number: 20220247177
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a photovoltaic solar inverter with an AC grid filter without inductance connectable to the AC grid. The inverter comprises: a power module for converting a DC input voltage into a three-phase AC output voltage; a three-phase AC/AC transformer for adapting the three-phase AC output voltage of the power module to the three-phase AC voltage of the AC grid, which has an inductance “L2”. The three-phase AC/AC transformer comprises a winding on the grid side with an equivalent inductance “L1”; a capacitor “C”, connected to the winding of the grid side of the three-phase AC/AC transformer. The equivalent inductance “L1” of the AC/AC transformer, the capacitor “C” and the inductance “L2” of the AC grid form a high frequency “LCL” filter, eliminating the inductances provided only for forming the LCL filter. The disclosure also provides an AC grid filter without inductance with an “LLCL” typology.

  • Publication number: 20220077782
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an L-shaped DC/DC converter circuit with multiple configurations for obtaining a boost converter or a buck converter, allowing the voltage and capacity of capacitors, the values of average voltage supported by diodes and transistors, and the levels and ripple of the current circulating through same, to be reduced. The converter, in its most basic configuration, comprises a coil; a first capacitor in series with a third capacitor, wherein the first capacitor is connected to a first voltage, and wherein the first capacitor in series with the third capacitor are connected to a second voltage; a first transistor connected in series to a third transistor, both being connected to the second voltage. The interconnection between the first transistor and the third transistor is connected to the interconnection between the first capacitor and the third capacitor, with the coil interposed.

  • Patent number: 8831506
Abstract: A signal repeater includes a port, an amplifier, and an adaptive device. The port is configured to connect to an electrical line of an electrical grid between devices. Communication over the electrical line and between the devices includes transmission of a first signal. The port is configured to receive the first signal from the electrical line. An amplifier is configured to receive a second signal based on the first signal, and amplify the second signal. The port is configured to receive the amplified second signal, and provide the amplified second signal to the electrical line. An adaptive device is configured to, based on the first signal, adjust an output impedance of the signal repeater to match a first impedance of a load on the signal repeater. The first impedance is seen by the signal repeater at the port, and wherein the first impedance includes an impedance of the electrical line.

  • Patent number: 8396415
Abstract: The invention relates to a single-port signal repeater. The repeater is connected in parallel to the communication means (3), on which only one access point (5) is needed. The repeater (4) comprises an amplifier, a hybrid circuit and a feedback and increases the range and transmission capacity for communications made on a conducted medium without the drawbacks of traditional repeaters, which have to interrupt the line and need two access points to the channel.

  • Publication number: 20100233954
Abstract: Single-port signal repeater. The repeater is connected in parallel to the communication means (3), on which only one point of access (5) is needed. The repeater (4) comprises an amplifier, a hybrid circuit and a resupply and increases the scope and transmission capacity for communications made on a medium controlled without the disadvantages of the standard repeaters, which have to interrupt the line and need two access points to the channel.
