  • Patent number: 11976432
Abstract: A foundation for wind turbine towers of the type used to support both metal towers and concrete towers of wind turbines that uses precast concrete or metal beams, combined with small footings concreted in situ, the beams being structurally connected at the central part of the foundation by the elements of connection and of support of the tower is disclosed. The invention affords the main advantage of achieving a notable reduction in the volume of materials used, both concrete and rebar, with a great reduction in assembly time and the consequent great economic savings as well as its ease of adaptation to different terrains is presented.

  • Patent number: 9670264
Abstract: Described herein are recombinant integral membrane proteins having multiple transmembrane domains that have been engineered to be less hydrophobic, through alteration of the amino acid sequence of the native protein, but retain the ability to bind their natural ligand. The decreased hydrophobicity of the described proteins makes them more water soluble than the native protein, which allows the described proteins to be expressed in bacteria in large quantities and isolated in the absence of membranes, all while retaining the ability to interact with known ligands.

  • Patent number: 8817324
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and systems for aggregating print jobs of different lengths and/or customers to decrease the need for rewinding and splicing operations. An exemplary embodiment provides a method that comprises identifying individual label-printing jobs (1-8) that can be aggregated onto a roll of substrate (302), and forming an aggregated label-printing job (300). In the aggregated label-printing job (300) a longest print job (8) is imposed adjacent to a first end of the roll of substrate (302), and one or more shorter print jobs (2, 5, 7) are imposed adjacent to the longest print job (8) in the direction of a second end of the roll of substrate (302).

  • Publication number: 20130141763
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and systems for ganging print jobs (102-112) that use different dies. An exemplary embodiment provides a non-transitory, computer-readable medium that includes code configured to direct a processor to identify individual label printing jobs (102-112) that are similar, but use different dies. A combined, or ganged, print job (506) is then formed from the individual label printing jobs (102-112), wherein the ganged print job (506) uses a multi-format die (300).

  • Patent number: 5673531
Abstract: A modular, removable and versatile metal construction includes each of the following: support, transverse and perpendicular profile elements, connection devices, rigid connection pieces, and rigid connection elements. The support profile element has a core with a central opening, and lateral wings having a pair of projections defining an opening therebetween with two channels. The perpendicular profile element is positioned perpendicular to the support and transverse profile elements. The connection device includes a clamp having first and second parts terminating at different levels at an end region of the device, the parts together defining, in sequence, an end, first opposite projections, first opposite indentations, second opposite projections, and second opposite indentations, the end, indentations and projections providing securing engagement at five contact points within a lateral opening.
