    Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to sending notifications over mobile communications networks. At least one node in a communications network tracks resource usage. A consumption rate is calculated based on the track resource usage and is compared against another consumption rate. A notification message is triggered based on the comparison. A notification message is sent to a user equipment device based on the triggered event. Certain embodiments suppress notification messages based on notification criteria.
