  • Publication number: 20230384529
Abstract: A slidable fiber optic adaptor slidable relative to a mounting support configured to be mounted to a fiber optic tray in a panel assembly is provided for fiber optic interconnection. The slidable adaptor may be slidable between a non-extended position and an extended position. Thus, when the fiber optic connectors having different polarities are connected to the slidable adaptors, the slidable fiber optic adaptor may be pulled out in the extended position to allow the fiber optic connectors with different polarities to be in a staggered configuration, thus, providing sufficient space therebetween for finger access for operators or technicians for ease of cable inspection and management.

  • Patent number: 11226452
Abstract: A dual polarity optical fiber adaptor that can accommodate and mate with optical fiber connectors with dual polarity is provided. In one example, a fiber optic adaptor module includes a housing having a top wall, a bottom wall, a first sidewall, and a second sidewall connecting the top wall and the bottom wall, the top and bottom walls and the first and second sidewalls defining an interior region in the housing, a partition wall disposed in the interior region connected between the top wall and the bottom wall, the partition wall defining one or more adaptors in the housing each having a connector connection port formed therein, wherein the partition wall has a center portion sandwiched between a first portion and a second portion, and a protruding tab formed in the center portion protruding outward from a first surface and a second surface of the first and the second portion, wherein the first and the second surfaces are vertically aligned.

  • Publication number: 20050005017
Abstract: Technique for protecting a communications network, such a computer network, from attack such as self-propagating code violations of security policies, in which the network is divided into “compartments” that are separated by access control devices such as firewalls. The access control devices are then used to stop the spread of self-propagating attack code, the “zero-day” worms, for example. However, the access control devices are configured such that upon activation legitimate in-use network services will not be jeopardized.
