    Abstract: A process and a device are provided for the quantitative radiation absorption measurement of a work piece using an electromagnetic radiation beam. In accordance with the invention, the work piece is scanned by sections and each section scanned is fictitiously divided into a plurality of zones, for each of which the value of the coefficient of attenuation per unit of length of said beam is determined.
