    Abstract: A tractor vehicle transmission is provided with a two piston brake where each piston operates in opposite directions. A pair of gears are spaced apart and the brake resides between them. Thus upon actualization the brake will contact each gear causing retardation of the gear, its attendant shaft, and the transmission as a whole allowing simpler shifting of the transmission.

    Abstract: A single control lever .[.pivotally.]. .Iadd.with an internal junction .Iaddend.actuating a latch .[.progressively.]. .Iadd.by progressive pivoting .Iaddend.in a first and a second plane. When it is desired to change from one to another of two transmission gear set levers, the latch is pivoted from a gap contained therein through a fixed gate into a gap contained in the other transmission gear set lever. The shift being possible only when the two gaps and the gate define a common plane.
