  • Patent number: 10120819
Abstract: An embedded computer system includes a processor, an interrupt source, an interrupt controller and a cache memory subsystem. In response to a request from the processor to read a data element, the cache memory subsystem fills cache lines in a cache memory with data elements read from an upper-level memory. While filling a cache line the cache memory subsystem is unable to respond to a second request from the processor which also requires a cache line fill. In response to receiving an indication from an interrupt source, the interrupt controller provides an indication substantially simultaneously to the processor and to the cache memory subsystem. In response to receiving the indication from the interrupt controller, the cache memory subsystem terminates a cache line fill and prepares to receive another request from the processor.

  • Patent number: 9060454
Abstract: The invention relates to a printed circuit board arrangement (20) having at least two printed circuit boards (11; 12?), which are located alongside one another on a common, electrically conductive base plate (13?), have two mutually opposite edges, forming an intermediate space (14), and are connected to one another, bridging the intermediate space (14) by means of electrical connections (21), in order to transmit extremely high frequencies. In the case of a printed circuit board arrangement such as this, RF-compatible electrical connections are made between the printed circuit boards in a simple and space-saving manner when the printed circuit boards are fitted on the base plate and without any further necessary additional tasks or reworking, in that the electrical connections are each made via at least one contact-making element (21), via which the printed circuit boards make detachable electrical contact with one another when mounted on the base plate (13?).

  • Patent number: 8087954
Abstract: A coaxial plug-type connector arrangement includes two plug-type connectors, which can be plugged one inside the other so as to latch in along a plug axis. Each plug-type connector includes a housing that extends in the direction of the plug axis and acts as an outer conductor. The housing has a drilled through-hole in which an inner conductor contact is held in insulated fashion with a coaxial arrangement. A coaxial contact sleeve is formed on the housing of the first plug-type connector, with which contact sleeve the plug-type connector enters the second plug-type connector so as to make contact when the two plug-type connectors are plugged one inside the other. A detachable tensioning sleeve for prestressing the two plug-type connectors with respect to one another in the plugged-in state is provided on the second plug-type connector.

  • Publication number: 20060124506
Abstract: A point-of-sale blister package for batteries has a plurality of discrete compartments, each configured to retain a single respective battery. Each compartment has associated therewith an indicator, such as a closure portion defined by perforations in the blister card. Each closure portion is individually openable to provide a permanent indication that the battery retained in the compartment has been accessed. The compartments also include at least one retention member which removably retain the batteries in the compartments, even when the closure portion has been removed. Consequently, used batteries can be stored in the opened compartments for later recycling or disposal. The used batteries can be distinguished from the new batteries by the unopened closure portion. In a further variant, the compartments are provided in a plastics tray and each compartment is covered by a sealing strip which breaks when the battery is removed from the compartment.

  • Patent number: 5746623
Abstract: A coaxial electrical connecting line is provided with an integrated adjusting device 4 for the mechanical fine adjustment of the electrical length of the line. The adjusting device has outside and inside conductors 6, 7. The outside conductor has two housing parts 14, 15 which can be phaselessly moved toward and away from each other between two terminal positions by turning a clamping sleeve 9. The inside conductor is provided with two telescoping connecting parts 16, 18 that can also be moved toward and away from each other; each is connected with an associated housing part. The inside diameters (D) of the two housing parts and the outside diameters (d) of the two connecting parts are so dimensioned that the adjusting device has a constant impedance over its entire length.

  • Patent number: 5722856
Abstract: An apparatus for electrical connection of one end of a conductor (5) of a coaxial cable (1) with a conductor (14) of a coaxial connector (6). A spring-like, bellows-shaped intermediate piece (25) is compressed between the conductor (5) at one end and the conductor (14) of the coaxial connector (6) at the opposite end. The intermediate piece prevents temperature changes and mechanical effects from adversely affecting the stability of the connection.

  • Patent number: 4373557
Abstract: An apparatus for picking or firing a projectile-like shuttle contains a pair of rolls revolving at a relatively high rotational speed. The rolls of the roll pair can be simultaneously brought into contact with a related shuttle in order to accelerate the same by frictional forces. To that end the rolls are each arranged upon a pivotal arm and operatively connected with a control arrangement. The rolls possess a predetermined elasticity such that their radial springiness or resilient yielding action at least approximately linearly increases as a function of the increasing radial contact pressure upon bringing the rolls into contact with the shuttles. These measures ensure for a practically wear-free, absolutely precise and controllable mode of operation of the apparatus.
