  • Patent number: 7766001
Abstract: A device for positioning and blocking thin silicon wafers after wire-sawing a silicon wafer block. The device comprises a cassette that accommodates the wafer block and is provided with two contact strips whose sides facing the wafer block encompass elements which engage into narrow cutting gap between the wafers so as to maintain a distance and provide support. This allows the wafers to be fixed in the position thereof even after removing a supporting glass plate such that particularly the gap in the area of the former connecting point to the removed supporting glass plate is maintained and the subsequent singulation process is simplified.

  • Patent number: 6494952
Abstract: An apparatus for applying a thin film of a liquid coating medium onto a curved surface of an article includes a receptacle for the article, a rotatably drivable turntable on which the receptacle is held and a nonrotatable process pot surrounding the receptacle and the turntable. A spray ring surrounds the surface to be coated and is retained at the open end of the process pot. It defines a central inflow opening. Several annular gaps are defined and the receptacle is provided with a suction cone. A laminar flow is aimed at the spray ring at the top of the process pot and the bottom of the process pot is joined to a suction flow.

  • Patent number: 5628683
Abstract: A system for transferring substrates in a clean room (100) has a box (1) for receiving a cassette (101) that contains the substrates (102), and a bottom (2) that hermetically closes the box (1) and that can be locked and unlocked in the box (1) by a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism has a captive C-washer (25) rotatively mounted in the box bottom (2). The captive C-washer (25) drives locking elements (21a, 21b; 321a, 321b), preferably by means of connecting rods (24a, 24b; 324a, 324b). The locking elements (21a, 21b; 321a, 321b) engage locking slots (11a, 11b) of the box (1). The captive C-washer (25) has catching bores (26a, 26b) engaged by the locking bolts (41a, 41b) of a rotary disk (45) arranged in a lock gate (4). A swivelling movement of the rotary disk (45) driven by a driving device of the system causes the bottom (2) to be locked and unlocked in the box (1).

  • Patent number: 5452905
Abstract: A spinning plate for substrates has on the surface of its spinning disk a continuous seal that is pressed from below against the edge of the substrate. The substrate can thus be retained by suction on the spinning disk. In order to center the substrate, a pressing element is moved under suction against the edge of the substrate and presses the same against centering stops of supporting blocks.

  • Patent number: 5377476
Abstract: Arrangement for storing and transporting substrates under clean room conditions and for loading the substrates into a clean room. The substrates are individually accommodated in cassettes which are positively stackable. By means of a lifting means, the cassettes are positioned external to a loading slot of the clean room. A lateral sealing flap in the cassette is opened and the substrate is moved into the loading slot in a substrate drawer.

  • Patent number: 5199223
Abstract: A compact device for clamping a disc-shaped tool on a tool spindle of a portable machine tool with a clamping anchor arranged in the tool spindle, with a clamping flange attachable to the free end of the clamping anchor, with an abutment arranged at the tool end of the tool spindle and with a manual actuating mechanism for releasably pressing the clamping flange against the abutment, thereby clamping the tool between the clamping anchor and the tool spindle. The manual actuating mechanism includes a first pressure cylinder having a first cavity and a second pressure cylinder having a second cavity, and a connecting channel between the cavities. The second pressure cylinder includes a piston delimiting the second cavity. The piston is adjustable and fixable by the manual actuating mechanism from the tool end of the tool spindle for releasably clamping the tool on the tool spindle.

  • Patent number: 5125503
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for testing electronic components, in particular IC's, having a transporting device to which holders for the components are detachably attached by fastening devices, and which is passed through a loading station to receive the components, a testing station to test the components and an unloading station to remove the components. To generally improve the functional efficiency of the apparatus and to carry out in particular the loading and unloading procedure with less danger of damaging the components, it is proposed according to the invention to provide that the holder, together with the components, can be attached to the transporting device in the loading station and be removed therefrom in the unloading station.

  • Patent number: 4779382
Abstract: A mechanism for mounting a sanding disk to the spindle of a portable right-angled grinder that will allow the connection to be released without extra tools. The mechanism consists essentially of a hollow spindle (18), of a tensioning anchor (22) that is accommodated inside the spindle (18) such that it can slide back and forth axially subject to an activating mechanism (54) but cannot rotate, and of two flanges that accommodate the sanding disk (28) between them, one of which, a mating flange that constitutes a support (20), is rigidly secured to the spindle, and the other of which, the tensioning flange (26), is loosely secured to the tensioning anchor (22). Between mutually facing demarcating surfaces (34 & 36) of the tensioning anchor (22) and the spindle (18) is a space (39) that communicates with another space (44) in the tensioning anchor (22). The spaces (39 & 44) are full of a plastic material (40) that can transmit force hydraulically.

  • Patent number: 4734173
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the manufacture of dental prostheses by means of an electroerosion process by using two template electrodes for erosive excavation. The dental prosthesis to be inserted is made directly from solid material which has not been previously worked. The negative templates of the dental prosthesis contained in the template electrodes can also be made by the electroerosion method. The manufacture of the dental prosthesis can be accomplished by a simultaneous movement of the two template electrodes or by manufacture of the two form halves of the dental prosthesis at different times.

  • Patent number: 4597227
Abstract: A device for attaching a tool in portable angled grinders, allowing the connection to be released without special accessories. The device consists essentially of a hollow driveshaft, of a spindle that slides inside it, and of a tool-securing point consisting of a mating flange and nut. The nut is loosened by activating the displacing mechanism, which displaces the spindle toward the tool-securing point, lifting the nut, which is connected to the spindle by means of a threaded pin, off of the tool. The nut can then be screwed off by hand.

  • Patent number: 4591140
Abstract: An arrangement for separating and transporting uppermost sheets of a stack of sheets or sheet-like objects has a movable suction mouthpiece in which negative pressure acting for adhering the sheet simultaneously controls the movement of the suction mouthpiece in a longitudinal direction in a guide, the movable suction mouthpiece is connected with a valveless pump which produces in a connecting conduit between the suction mouthpiece and the pump periodically alternating negative pressure and positive pressure phases, and the guide of the movable suction piece is arranged so that a movement direction provided by the guide is inclined relative to the direction of the force of gravity at such an angle that the resultant of a lifting movement of the sheet produced during the lower pressure phase of the movable suction mouthpiece and the falling movement produced during the positive pressure phase has a component acting in a desired transporting direction of the sheet.
